Gamestop has set a date of Roller Coaster Tycoon. street date set as 3-13-2012

I'm psyched about this. Just wondering how many others are planning on geting this.

I hope they stay close to the source material. Since it's being released by Atari I have high hopes for this one... Exchanging parks through spot -street pass would be nice. I expected it much later than this...

Anyone else interested?

Wai- for the 3ds? Epic!
Although it won't be as satisfying to drowning people since the screen is too small... ;)
...

exactly my point :O. Remember the parks where vomit was lying everywhere and you still got these notices of "The people think your park isn't expensive enough!"And drowning can now be seen in 3d I guess?

I love the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. One of my favorite games of all time, probably because I played it ALL the time when I was about 7 years old. Remember making some extreme rollercoasters that nobody would dare to try, upping the entrance price massively for a few seconds just before about 7 people walked in, deleting the end few pieces of track on the rollback loop-the-loop coasters, trapping guests in the park, creating massive (though realistic) queues and of course, drowning unsatisfied guests in elaborate drowning pools (along with mysteriously disappearing, under-payed cleaners :P)

I couldn't have put it any better. That explains exactly how I played the game and how every other 7 year old played it. Oh, memories! That old 1000$ gateway with only 256MB of RAM, Starting Rollercoaster Tycoon than eating lunch, coming back later and it is still loading! You guys may have just convinced me to buy it due to Nostalgia!

So far, the detail about this game is too scarce. I love to get it, but I just prefer if they show about it more before they release it.

Ah! I loved this game. You'd laugh, because I pirated a copy off my cousin a long time ago. I was just in my local thrift store and I saw the game for sale! I really want to pick it up again, as it was pretty awesome.

Remembers jacking up the prices for umbrellas when it rained.

It better be coded in 100% ASM. If not, I forget thee. :P

7 year old? I was in my early teens when I played it with my friends, and we did the same thing. I once had a park where the only way out of the park was by being catapulted out by a rollercoaster, and my friend discovered how you could drop the unhappy guests in prisons (a one-patch road with surrounded walls). Feeling compasionate for them, I put some nice trees next to them.

Man...this is actually the only 3DS game I'm looking forward to. I must be getting old...

Wizerak mentioned playing it at 7 and I remember playing it at an early age. My comment wasn't directed at every person in general. But yeah, I might have to pick this up. I hope its not crapware like Zoo Tycoon DS.
