Hacking Ripping problem with wii

IOS90 was part of mauifrog's mod-guides. it was IOS60 with all the patches and an updated version number... IOS60 has all the capabilities on running a SM on any wii hardware version, so the idea idea behind it was if N ever brought out another SM (ie. 4.4) w/ it's corresponding SM-IOS, a system update would skip an IOS90 install (and all it's potential disabilities) since it would think it's already installed.

doing a modmii re-mod will not remove IOS90...it would have to manually removed (you can do it with MMM). it's existence is irrelevant though as it's not used by anything....nor will it ever be.

I updated my ios' and I saw that ios 58 is disabled is this bad to my ripping issue? how do I enable it

Okay so that didn't fix it the ios 58 is disabled idk what the heck to do. My wii's ripping is so bad, I think is ios 58 being disabled... ANyone has any opinions? I'm a put a new list of my syscheck See if it can be solved.. Anyone ran into this before this issue is making me irritated lol


Here is my syscheck again check if anything seems odd I update it according to mod mii. I really don't know why it stops randomly though it didn't have this issue ....

Note: Clean rip tells me IOS 58 exists but is not in use dumping to usb will be slow! is this why it freezes? ... Anyone know how to change this ...

Does it have anything to do with it? but here it is 1.1.2 is the latest running with ios 58 v24.32 and my usb loader gx is version 3.0 r1180 wii flow 2.1 and cfg loader version unknown usb loader settings

You could try uninstalling both the HBC and ios58 and then reinstall both.

When reinstalling make sure you install ios58 first and then when reinstalling HBC make sure it says ios58 is being used for the installer.

If that doesn't work then i have no clue at all.

You could also try using modmii guide and tell it your wii is a virgin/unmodded and then go through the steps with modmii to remod it again that would update every ios there is plus give you updated cios and everything.

Im completly stuck I just formatted my wii, and I wanna unod every single bits of hacking I ever did , maybe this way I can start anew have any idea in that? Also how can I erase everything, or make a nand that looks like noothing was installed/ make the wii a virgin again u know what I mean tright

You can never make it a true virigin wii again. You can delete all homebrew cios ext... but traces of them will be left forever but nothing that you will see.

To unhack it uninstall all channels you installed as wads by uninstalling the same wad file. Don't just delete the channel in the wii system settings.
Also uninstall all cios files by uninstalling the wad files you used to originally install them.Next step i would do is download all official ios files(no patches ext..) through modmii and then install those with a wad manager.After that uninstall the HBC and i would think that's the most you could do.

You could also do an official nintendo update to replace the ios files but if you have installed any ios/cios files with a maxed out version # then no nintendo update will be able to overwrite them.That's why i suggested updating all the cios files through modmii instead.

Also if you have bootmii as boot2 then i would recommend making a nand backup first before you start messing with uninstalling/installing any ios files.
If you delete the wrong one in the process you could brick your wii for good.
