Ok, what if Samsung really wanted to get the edge over apple and announced a tablet with 60 hours battery life that was waterproof, before doing any research to see if they could actually do it. Peoplr start preordering it like crazy. Then on the day it is due they announce the preorders have gotten them frazzled and they can't produce that many units and they won't release it at all, when what actually happened is they started their research and development and realised it wouldn't be possible with technology available today. Are they to blame for jumping the gun and announcing it to build hype for their brand without being certain it was possible, or are the customers who got understandably excited about this amazing product to blame for preordering too much?

Unless your point was that you bought a phone and didn't get what was described. That is called false advertisement. You paid for an object without the features the dev promised. That is illegal.
KTM is already illegal and free. There is no law. If KTM bricked your console, oh well. From Nintendo's terms themselves, any unauthorized device can and will brick your console. If KTM bricked, oh well.

Because he said it in his rant to mean that the project was for his own personal experience and sense of accomplishment. That he wasn't making it for community so much as he was for himself. If it was for himself then he has no reason to even mention it until it's ready for people's use. There's private chats if he needs help from other devs.

Not sure if you're deliberately misunderstanding or what. I'll give it one more try and then I give up.

Preordering = doing things differently because of the news. Eg not using sysupdater or telling other people not to. Getting excited and messaging Pingo a lot and talking about it.

Samsung trying to get the edge over Apple = Pingo trying to make himself really important. Even if he couldn't deliver on the reason for the importantness (Samsung trying to be better than Apple but the reason for the betterness was not deliverable).

Money = attention and importance. Samsung trying to make more money = Pingo trying to get more respect and importance.

If you still don't undertand then I give up. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that it is deliberate on your part because you really like the guy, not because you actually don't understand (which would be a little pathetic)

I like how 10.4 coming out is the excuse for it not releasing. Whatever, I just used sysUpdater and downgraded. Its probably about as safe as whatever this pingo guy was making as long as you dont do anything stupid. Probably would have been just as stable too, like Ive said before I doubt this guy who came out of the blue could have stabilized his program better than sysupdater.

No one has to update. You can stay at 10.3

I just hope the newer downgrade methods arent shaky like the ones we have now. If they do the same thing with messing up a downgrade, then you'll likely be forced to update to 10.4. Or stay on your frankenfirmware that probably wont boot anything meaningful.

Jesus Christ guys, give the guy some slack. Its not like hes one of those "SALT" jerks who keeps everything to themselves... He made an app, decided that another app was better than his and he stopped working on it, end of story. I mean he could have just kept it all to himself and release it when its ready but thats another story. All in all, even if KTM is not fully functional or whatnot I still appreciate your work and the attempt of actually releasing something. Hats down @JustPingo.

I dont know about you guys, but Im personally waiting for GWs downgrade method since the last one was pretty flawless TBH. Oh and its free too, unless they decide to DRM their downgrade function which would actually be pretty smart come to think about it. Oh well, we shall wait and see.....

Well in a way it is more safer, but that doesnt mean its more stable. If the app was as stable as Sysupdater I guess people would go with it since it has some neat checks implemented, but yeah he went over his head with this one but that doesnt mean his "work" should be spat on - I mean at least he released something.

JustPingo has sauce. That's more than enough to back him for me. Perhaps he's awful with deadlines, hasn't really pushed out an important app like this before, and perhaps will end up with a mediocre/half-functioning result. But really, there's source code on github, and anyone who wants it can go grab it, write it, and compile it for themselves. That's more than the SALT guys can say, TBH. Were's my compilable SALT source? Not on github, certainly. Might as well not even exist.

Personally, the bit I didn't like is that he stalled some of the community to downgrade especially with 10.4 now imminent. And he converted some into ktm believers that will wait for ktm instead even after 10.4! So that's what grinds my gears. KTM will most likely have softbricks still.
