Just found out about this and thought, hm, a way to keep my Rugby League 3 up to date once it gets outdated.

Then realised you can't use this if you have games on a HDD, and you must have the original game.

A let down, but you can't get everything I guess.

if you want to pirate with riivolution just get a mod chip
(like me!!, i thought i didnt need my modchip anymore because my softmod is better. always great to find a new use.)
been playing reggie levels and custom mario kart games all week.

Jeez.

I love how it gets released, and the first thing you want to do is enable pirating with it.
Good job guys, _g o o d_ job.
Well, for a game like Fatal Frame which now isn't available from any legitimate retail outlets (including Play Asia) piracy is the only choice if you want to play the game. Plus even for the games I own (my internet connection is slow so I usually buy games on ebay rather than waiting days and days to d/l them illegally) I tend to rip them to my HDD for faster loading times. Pretty dick move to block out legit users of USB drives.

with jdownloader i can download a game in 3 hours TOPS.

Terribly sorry that you've been spoiled to the point where if someone releases something that doesn't support usb loading due to them not wanting their application used in a way they don't intend it that it must be a dick move on their part.

It'd be NICE if it supported USB Loading, but it doesn't and if that's the way they want it then I say respect their contributions as they are.

Riivolution gets a big round of applause. I just tested the Riivolution channel in SNEEK+DI, and not only does it not detect it, but after booting me out of the app it leaves the SNEEK NAND and boots the original menu from the real NAND. Bravo.

Can anyone build a Little Endian ARM RiiFS version? Mono doesn't run on my device.
I'm just putting the finishing touches on a C++ port of the C# RiiFS server code now. It's not pretty, but it's mostly STL with the OS specific stuff (socket and directory handling) isolated in their own files so it should be easy enough to get it working on any platform.

Hey hey,

I wanted to try out Riivolution on my original Monster Hunter 3 (Japan) copy.
So I wrote a quick xml and Riivolution detects it and the game.
So far so good, but as soon I want to start it (no matter if w/ or w/o mods), the screen just goes black and the wii freezes.

I am using the latest Riivolution on my 4.1E softmodded Wii.

greets

Lol, never thought this would matter.
Thanks, it is working now

So, will another version come soon that DOES allow backups?

You have to see the 'irony' here... If it truly is a BACKUP, take out the original disk that you used to make the backup and play with that.

The question should have been phrased:

QUOTE(Kevinskie555 @ May 5 2010, 11:49 AM) So, will another version come soon that DOES allow PIRACY?

P.S. not trying to jump start the whole pro/anti-piracy debate, just commenting on something I found to be funny.

So how do I install the IOS offline? Where can I download it? I can't find it in NUSD.
Really, my internet connection for my wii is fucked up.
