i want to install RiskiiMod but i have already installed starfall, preloader and CIOSCORP i know that for preloader i have to use the uninstalation app that crediar did but what about starfall and CIOSCORP?

Plzz i need some help
ok i was in this position too first install system menu wad, run preloader hacks remover, then run starfall and uninstall those patches(not sure if necessary but i did just in case), then just start at the ARC step.

not sure if all this is even necessary but i figured i'd do it from a "fresh" 3.2

EDIT: nevermind i was too slow yet again

Okay guys - A little bit of help needed.

It turns out that although my screen goes blank and says no signal on the tv that it really is running the app behined it.

I just tried what someone posted earlier to reset the video setting in arc and managed to get it to reboot so i think it saved it but it did not work so im guessing its slightly wrong. Could some give me the buttons to the PAL setting please.

this is what i was given....A screen shot would be even better, but not to worry.

To change the video mode from MPal back to NTSC using anyregion changer the button presses are as follows: First screen(info about program) A; Second screen(disclaimer about semi-brick) 1; Third screen(options screen, where you want to be) Down, Down, Down, Right, Down, Down, Down, Down, A. A selects the save option. To reboot from that screen, continue: Down, Down, Down, Down, A. If all goes well, the video mode should be back on NTSC. I'll up a screen shot for you in a moment.

I'm not gonna bother reading this whole thread, so I'll just ask it here.

I have a 3.2U, I used to have 3.3v1 with the Wii shop channel and the IOS51 (?) thing installed. I used anyregion changer to make my system 3.2U, then I installed all of the Starfall patches (the main things that are stopping me from trying this are that all of StarFall's features are in here also, so muting the BGM twice or region free everything twice etc. etc. etc., I'm worried that it will damage my wii).

I don't play GC games often, if at all so idrc if cIOSCORP messes that up.

Would I have any problems or pre-requesties before trying this?

next time actually read. the answer is stated 4 or 5 times. when you do this your system menu is replaced, which means nothing you've done will remain in effect

To change the video setting to PAL from MPAL:

First screen(info about program) A; Second screen(disclaimer about semi-brick) 1; Third screen(options screen, where you want to be) Down, Down, Down, Left, Down, Down, Down, Down, A. A selects the save option. To reboot from that screen, continue: Down, Down, Down, Down, A. If all goes well, the video mode should be back on NTSC.

to fix the mpal anll you have to do is
A; Second screen(disclaimer about semi-brick) 1; Third screen(options screen, where you want to be) Down, Down, Down, Right, Down, Down, Down, Down, A. A selects the save option. To reboot from that screen, continue: Down, Down, Down, Down, A. If all goes well, the video mode should be back on NTSC. I'll up a screen shot for you in a moment.
it works i fixed mine just like it ive been waitn on u skarface

Crediar just advised me that if i can get the souce of ARC modified to default to NTSC or PAL rather than the consoles video setting it would load the app.

Sadly, i don't know how to do that.

I will try again with your buttons Goku - Thankx Man.

EDIT - The button presses do something, but its not changing my region, its still on MPAL, what do i have to do for PAL? Is it Right Right instead of one right?

i used a you tube vid but if u get stuck ill load mine and give u a lay out

havent seen this yey ive got a nother set of the . hacks for channels if i put them in the . hack will those work?

WAHOOO ----- Because I was on MPAL - I needed to go left not right if you know what i mean.

Thanks again guys for all your help -- I really appreciate it!!!!!!!

I now have a working wii - time to do it on the other one now!

Hey there. The process went flawlessly on my Launch NTSC-U wii. no issues whatsoever. Originally on 3.4u, now on 3.2u as per guide on first post. I do have a question though. Can i get my wii system background music back? I follows the guide to the letter, and i would like to know if i can re enable the bg music. thx in advance!

just go to preloader(when booting wii up press and hold reset)
then to settings
then to systemhacks->
then disable the 4th one down(No menu BGM)
save settings and you're done

Here's a bit of info I've found while testing. It appears the Disc Channel forces games no matter what region they are to load with the Consoles Video Settings. This means that PAL games that do not have NTSC/60 video mode built into them will not work. They black screen. The result is the same as if you try to run these games with gamma forcing NTSC, except from Gamma they Green Screen freeze. From Disc Channel they Black Screen freeze on me. They still launch fine from gamma as long as you don't try to force a video rate the game doesn't support though. So far 2 out of 14 PAL games have this issue for me. I completely understand the issue is the lack of video support by the title though, not a problem with this Mod package.

After going through this thread and reading everything. I have just one question, for NTSC users why would you want to go through all to these pain full and risky steps when you can install CIOS and be done with it? From what I understand PAL still goes to a black screen and will not load correct?

However, this is create news for PAL users who wants to play NTSC games.

Would you agree that if you have CIOS working perfectly that there is no point to using this?

No Yakaboy as all 1:1 pal/ntsc backups work from disc channel on both sides of the water.

There are a couple of games with issues but not many so this is a fantastic option for you.

Read it all tho.

Man this is awsome, worked perfect on my pal wii thanks to all the ppl who made this happen
