So if a PAL game on my NTSC didn't work before in gamma loader(Green screen freeze), then it won't work through this, but those should be the only problem games? Also, how do you "accidentally update", I mean, other than, when you buy a brand new retail game, you foolishly put it in without seeing if it has updates on it? Is the more ways that I should worry about?

also the DIP module in short cons the wii into dvd-mode and thus allows the cIOS to read the game data and play games, this is my understanding of the process.

actually my question was more: does the CIOS makes the difference between a retail game and a backup to enable/disable dvd-mode or is it enabled by default ? in the later case, this would mean retail game are now running at 3x and data read with the hacked DIP

I mean: has the reading speed of retail game with CIOScorp SERIOUSLY been measured ? or could it be some kind of placebo effect ?

no, no patching required at all, all NTSC/PAL 1:1 games will jus play

Its a fluke.

So this guide seems a bit too much... about how long does it take to install and is it easily uninstalled? I dont see a need for reigon free, so I may just use the CIOSCORP Installer.

can anyone giv a suggestion as to how i could modify this pack to work offline?? the way gamma gets its files from the 00000001 folders, was gonna setup urlsnarf on one of my client and see if i can pinpoint the files AnyRegionChanger grabs from the server..

can someone guru-ish confirm if this would work please.

Does anyone know if this is correct before i start messing about ;
Anyone with a PAL system getting black screens on NTSC games, try setting the default video mode in anyregionchanger to NTSC (or MPAL for progressive scan I think).

I'm guessing it tries to run the NTSC game in PAL video mode, which it doesn't support and thus you get the black screen. My NTSC games worked fine after I changed it to MPAL in anyregionchanger.

you mean, boot time?? its not enough to be noticed mate, and if your gonna install corp ya might aswell have preloader and region-free..

if ya gonna mess with ya IOS's ya might as well go all out and get all the benefits.
