I have been in those shoes, believe when I say GBATemp is the best community you can find, do you happend to own an iPod and have tryied to visit the ipodlinux.org forums...?? have you been it the wiibrew.org forums..?? on IRC at #wiidev or #wiihelp uuufff they'll eat your head in 2 questions, so I really really really believe:

1. Asking the same question every 3 pages it is not because of noobiness
2. Hell I lack of a lot of knowledge and do you know how did I managed to install this..??
3. The word "noob" (I believe) it is because you are new to something, so why do you want to do the ultimate hack modification, when you're asking why there's bubbles on the screen when you inserted a game in the Wii..?? (Check here if you don't believe me)
4. I'm not a coder, and I've never take a class of english/programation/french/music/audio_edition, and I managed to change the number needed to make possible the CIOScorp complete (not really proud because it was literally one number)
5. How do you managed to get all your things done succesfully in your Wii..??
6. Have you seen someone saying he delete all the IOS section with AnyTD..??
7. How many people came back after Gamma Launcher was released to ask why the 324 error (still

being new to something doesn't make you a n00b your just not in the know.

being a n00b is when you know bugger all and are too lazy to help yourself and want others to tell you everything and dont listen when told.

it annoys me to see new members branded as n00bs and then scared off it takes more than a handfull of posts to spot a true n00b. i find the following entry in the urban dictionary the best n00b description tho

but tbh you really should'nt be messing with this without first reading about Gamma, then readin about what CORPCIOS is and then maybe once you have gotten that far...having a go at this.
and if everybody and there grandma can do this...why is there 81 pages of repeated questions and some absolute stupid fckin questions.

i once knew nothing about the Wii too yes i agree as did we all...however you know what i did, i READ, and then when i had read and i understood i attempted, then once i attempted i went to the guys on this forum who i had noticed where in the know and i showed i had done abit of leg work and they helped, am not saying NOBODY HELP THE N00BS, but please
if your going to install this please learn about it first, now i am at the phase where i have to go over to marcan n bushins channel and seek the guru's advice and attempt to confer with the well clued up guys on the forum about what i am attempting..and after a long conversation with one of these said gurus last nite i have now gone away and i am working on my other machine to achieve what i need to do, granted this is maybe easier than it was once but when it was released it was called Riiski because it was, iand still is a major change to your Wii's system, and me nor anyone else can tell how nintendo is going to react to this. Also when it was released it was highly untested.

over the past week i have slept maybe 12-18hours in total, i am absolutley exhausted...this project has grew and grew and it is not a APPLICATION it is a pack and a guide which has become a project to push the wii as a forum while we wait for the big guys to drop there software....

The likes of DigityDogs who has commited himself to not only taking charge of the graphics side but also teach me about the graphics in the process, a genius who will rename nameless for providing us with a app to provide a safe testing environment and ofcourse the guys who devised and tested the various bits of software that makes this pack possible.

everyone is helping and working towards a common goal at last it seems...and in the next couple of weeks the System Menu i believe will be totally ours. the last thing i will say at the end of this weed fuelled love letter is this...stop the fuckin bitching and lets just get on with the task in hand...FFS

But what did you read? posts from others, Others usually willing to help.

The countless Questions come from false information, that resulted from using search. Where do you think people get the myths about their wii not working cause of disc speeds, or Nintendo automatically updating them?

They are just scared, like you'd be if you had a 250$ system and didn't want to brick it. Because you guys get mad and say "THIS IS VERY RISKY DONT DO IT", people want to ask more about how risky it is, and what can do what. These questions are repeated, in the end, because of those people who are sick of the questions.

No one can come to this forum and learn whats what by reading, as you said you have to first know prior information. Information, which I got from youtube. Over hear, everything is spilled in hacking jargon, jargon that newbies don't know. Which is another reason why they ask questions. Saying the guide to "gamma" is not helpful to someone who doesnt even know what a gamma is and is just looking for a backup loader.

In the end, Its not our priority to take care newbs or noobs or to even answer questions, but if you want the questions to stop then you have a few choices.

A)Stop making homebrew so people can stop coming

B) Make a guide more user friendly

C) Have a link in your sigs that say "COMPLETE GUIDE TO WII HACKING".

In the end its all an easy process, but the myths and scares that you guys spit are what birth the questions.

Note: when I say You, I don't mean anyone in particular, I'm just aiming my thoughts to those that are tired of the questions.

you put into words some of what I was thinking and just couldn't get out. I have done the same thing, I new jack about the Wii at the start of this month. So I read, and then read some fucking more. When I came across Riiski and read the guide, I went and read what cIOSCORP was rather than just start the guide. When I read the guide again, I went back and found out what Preloader was. After that, I went and found out what some of the consequences could be if shit went wrong. It's easier to do it right the first time, then screw it up and fix something that's broken.

The info is out there. If people are too lazy to make an effort and help themselves how can you justify helping them?
