In the IT industry we call that "percussive maintenance". You'd be surprised how often I've fixed things by giving it a little beating. The ice machine at my work jams daily, but a few solid punches to the side of the machine fixes the problem
We call it Brazilian way.
True.

Im having the same problem, suddenly the right joycon wont respond at all and wont charge.
Idont think throwing the joycon to the bed furiously would work in my case, but if thats how you fixed it i may try

I to had a dead right joy con, haven't tried throwing it just yet, but confirmed from my other switch that it was the joy con it's self not some dumb ribbon cable smh, but I simply called Nintendo and they overnighted me a new one, I would call have them send you one, use the new one and trade in the old one to Gamestop..

Why is this happening? I ve read about 5 people with this same problem, right joycon dead al of the sudden that wont charge.
Could it be the battery? If so, as soon there are replacement parts it could be solved
Btw, mine works perfect when connected to the console in portable mode, it jusy wont respond remotely

Switch has power rails so that's why they work.
Might be something either with battery or antenna of joycons.

i thought about the antenna too, but why that would affect the charging?
Anyway, if thats the case, could.it be possible to replace the antenna wwith another one? The connector seems like to one in some laptops

Try. Also check if every wire is connected to the battery, if not then solder that wire back into battery.

Nothing inside of mine was broke of disconnected, even pulled the battery hoping it would basically reset.. Unfortunately I do believe the battery itself is bad, if it's connected and working that means it's not the connection between the switch and joy con, and since it's not working wirelessly does the sync button flash? if not then it's either the battery or the mobo..

I did try both removing the antenna and the battery for a day.
It is still dead. It shows no sync lights at all and wont respond to any button.
Its really wierd that it works perfectly when connected to the console though....
Tomorrow i'll receive a new one and try to swap those parts to see if thats the problem.
