Hardware Right joycon buttons not working

My right joycon's SL and synch buttons stopped working all of the sudden a few weeks ago (SR works just fine) Whenever I press any buttons on the joycon the LED lights are supposed to flash on but if I press any of those two bottoms nothing happens, is there any way to fix them? Because I can't synch the red joycon by attaching it to the console either when I go to sysnand or emunand.

yes they can, most possable issue is the ribbon cable has gone bad or pinched (have you ever opened the joy-con?) not sure where you are located but check ebay for "joycon SL SR Ribbon cable" that should fix your issue. Before you do that you can open up the joy-con and move around the cable while pressing the buttons to see if it has a break in the cable. you can also try re-seating the cable, but I have seen a bunch of these cables going bad and they only cost about $1 to replace
