Hello as the description says the right hinge on my ds lite broke, and I ordered a replacement shell and everything i've replaced the shell on my psp several times so im fairly confident that i can switch shells for my ds lite... there is just one eansy snag it seems the screw holding the battery case on is damn near completely stripped and definitely wont come out with a screw driver. I was wondering if ANYONE knows how to get the screw out or if maybe i could simply break the battery cover and remove the screw holding on the back underneath the batter and have the back still come off, or if that one screw is actually a HUGE deal.

You could probably just pry the screw out, it wouldn't be a big deal because you aren't going to be using the old case anyway.

My thoughts exactly, and that screw is ONLY holding on the battery cover right? it isnt holding anything else?

you could buy a stripped screw removing kit. sears (craftsmen tools) sells them, and i know home depot has a version for their line of tools. the kit is basically some stuff to prep the old screw and a special drill head that can grip and extract stripped screws.

-another world

surely you could drill the screw head off?
(similar to what you'd do to remove a pop-rivot)
