Reason I ask is that its easy enough to do an sdat swap for a full undub, so does this patch do something other than that?

thats why they need patches

It looks like this is just an sdat swap? So all audio becomes Japanese...

When the game comes out over here (April 5), I'll do a music only undub.

by the time you "patch" everything im done swapping the file so it is for the technologically inept, as there are loads of tutorials on this board teaching you how to you dsbuff

Everything is mostly the same as the Japanese version except for a few voices and sounds.

The 5 or so songs are dubbed too.
The only one I really hate is the popstar one, the others are alright.
Some of the dubs are silly though.
The duck sergeant sounds like a girl instead of a guy. It also loses the duck-like sound.
I'm almost positive they dubbed the grunts of the soccer guy needlessly.
The dumpling game voice is dubbed too...even though it's set in an Asian place presumably.
The conductor for the 3 singers sounds a bit off, but it's not a MUST DUB issue.

Also, having played numerous hours on the J version the dubbed voice cues throw me off.

On a side note, undubbing screws up a few things.
The duck sergeant's line for you to peck, hold, flare is said too fast so the timing is off.
One of the soccer guy's grunts is...well, wrong.

That's all I've noticed so far.

Yup yup, this one is a good dub, keeps everything from the original song except it's English now, haha.
The others are decent, and the popstar ones are terrible I find.

Its like for every game that comes out.
Someone wants to undub it even if its for extremely minor things.

"OH NO I DON'T LIKE THIS ONE SOUND UNDUB PLZ"

My Japanophile senses are tingling.

I think its a waste of time but I can't force anyone to play it my way.

no CyrusBlue, im talking serious: i hated the english songs versions.
if you can enjoy them, good for you coz I can not. and.... what's the problem of making undub of every new game? i dont see any problem... I mean, this section is for this no? soooo...

well whatever. I tried to put the english text on the japanese rom. i was very happy coz graphics works well! but..... the texts... they were all mess up xD! so i need help: there's a way to get the texts working fine?

With the, "I suppose," and "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!"
