Hi all,

Been a while since I had problems with my GOW3 360.

I wanted to play today and when I tried to turn on the console, it takes a while to turn on and it load into normal XMB and not Aurora.

IF I put in the original 320gb HDD, it loads correctly into Aurora (I have it stashed to trouble shoot and to have my saves). Thing is when I connect my 750GB HDD to my PC it shows up fine on CrystalDisk info.

Then if I try to access the hdd with FATXplorer, it has problems opening up the partitions.

If I connect the HDD with USB it showes up as unformatted.

Could it be corruption of boot files or something like that?

Is there a way to get the games out at least?

I really don't want to lose all the game backups in there.

Thank you in advance,

What version of FATXplorer are you using ?
They have a 3.0 Beta now, which works fine for me.

Hello there, so I ended up formatting the HDD, and after doing this I tested the HDD by copying over some files and the write speeds were really low. SO I will Assume that the HDD is dead, I will go back to using the 320gb original HDD and Add 250Gb External HDD that I got from a faulty ps3.

I will in the future try to get a SSD in my 360 since It deserves a good HDD, right now paying 50€ for a 1Tb HDD in not in the game.

Thanks for the response.

It sounds like it, you can check the SMART info with CrystalDiskInfo, probably it will tell you that the drive health is poor. Make note of the uncorrectable sectors and reallocated sector count, that's usually the first indicator of a failing drive.
