I sent my`defective case back to kicktrading.ca and bought this one.

Black Nintendo DS Lite Silicone Case + Screen Protector by Kroo

I really like the way it protects the DSL (nice tight fit). You can play while the case stays on and it feels rubbery (non-slippery). I got it in 3 days instead of having to wait 15 days. It came with screen protectors too but I have not used them since I already have some on.

96hondaex: thanks for the recommendation, been looking for a decent "glove" to stop the smears - I liked the ones shock were making, but definitely wouldn't order anything from them, and this one is very similar to theirs.

I ordered this case on 10/11 from kicktrading.ca and just got it on 10/30. I did like the way it feels but not how it fit on the DSL. The top cover it came with will not stay on after being snapped in place. It will all of a sudden snap off while playing or closing the top cover. Any type of movement or touch will cause it to fall off. The bottom piece fit just fine.

I did e-mail kicktrading.ca about this and they were willing to do an exchange for me but I would then have to ship the top cover (15 days) then wait for them to send the replacement back (another 15-20 days) so I just said nevermind.

Just an fyi...

Well I sent the case back to kicktrading.ca because they convinced me they would send the replacement right out after I mailed my case. I sent it Monday morning and haven't heard from them since. They will not reply to my e-mails. I just hope the case does not get lost in transit.

Well, I'm bringing up an old thread, I know.. But no point starting a new one.

I'm considering getting the Dragon DS Lite Guard Mask, but looking for a bit more info before I buy it.

Has anyone else got this case?
Are you satisfied with it?
Or did anyone get a defective case, like 96hondaex?

Anyone got more pics of it? Especially the white case on an onyx DS Lite.

Cheers guys.

I'm using the black case on my Onyx. Seriously, it's really good. The rubbery makes all the difference, no more slipping or finger prints all over the place.

I did get my replacement from kicktrading but it still did not fit correctly. The top cover kept falling off whenever it felt like it. I instead bought a silicone one from eBay and have been very happy with that one since.

I just ordered mine from kickgaming.com
It's the white coloured one for my onyx DS. I dig white on black.

Anyways, they say it will take 7 - 15 business days, so I'll take some pics of it when I get it.

I really like the the case in the pics on the first post and think I'ma get one as I always drop my DS and have already broken one dropping it. I just wonder how much protection it offers. Atm I use a padded official Nintendo pouch made by Hori but that doesn't allow play when the DS is in it.
My ideal case would be something like the PlayGear pocket for PSP by Logitech but a bit smaller and thinner for DS. The case is skinnable and you can play the unit while its in it.

Check out the Joytech Armorlite Case

Cool. Glad you're happy with it.

Personally, I can't stand silicon cases. From past experience, they attract lint and dust and dog hair, and I have to constantly take them off and clean them. Plus they slip around a lot with use and most of the silicon cases for the DSL don't allow it to close properly.

But if you've found one without all these problems, then that's great. I remember seeing one a while ago on a Hong Kong site. It was a regular silicon case but with a hard plastic edge to clip on the DS properly. Hence, no silicon tabs on the inside to hold it on place, and hence it could close properly. Is that what yours is like?

My Dragon Guard Mask has been shipped now. So just waiting... *impatient*

I would like to know, is the Dragon DS Lite Guard Mask easy to remove from the DS Lite?
Hows the rubber? Does it attract alot of lint and dust too?
Thanks man, I feel like getting one of those soon.

Yup, it's really easy to remove it. Just as easy as snapping it on.

The rubber feels great. Dust and lint can stick to the case, but can be wipe off easily.

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and never had a problem with hair or lint that would bother me. I mean maybe a hair or two that I literally just blew off and it was gone but that's it. I have removed it twice in about three months just to look inside and make sure it is clean and it was fine. It closes great as well and stays closed without any gaps. Love the non-slip rubbery surface. Let us know how you like yours when you get it.

One last question before I get it tomorrow... I have to admit, I get sweaty hands/palms when I get "really in to" the game I'm paying on my DS.

Does sweat affecting your grip on the DS? Also, how does it feel when playing on the DS with that Guard Mask when the Guard Mask is rather wet/damp? Thanks man

Well, as promised, here's the pics I took of the white Guard Mask that I received from Kick Gaming this afternoon (great service from them, btw. Wasn't expecting it 'til the end of the week). Quality if the photos is decent enough but not brilliant 'cause the camera I used is the one on my phone, plus a bit of minor editing.

Anyways, about the case, I dig it. It fits really well with the small exception of the top right corner, which doesn't *quite* snap on as well as all the others. You can kind of see it in the pics (the one of the front of the DS) where the right corner doesn't seem to line up as well as the others. But this isn't a big deal. The case doesn't fall off or anything, it's quite secure. It feels really nice as well, very soft and smooth. Much nicer to hold when playing games. It adds a little bit of weight to the DS but hardly noticeable.

All round, I'm very pleased with it.
