I realise that there is already a thread quite similar to this but I wanted to start a new one as my case is a little different.
we have a problem....
My DS screen is broke :,(
My DS' top screen has been broken for about 3 weeks now but it has been steadily getting worse and worse. I don't know what happened to it. I did not drop it or anything before I noticed it. As you can see in the video, there is a white line running diagonally up the screen from where the light is shining through. It's not this that's annoying me, it's the dead pixels that are grouped together at the bottom right of the screen.
I included a video so that you can see for your self. It can be quite hard to enjoy some games such as Pokemon and Custom Robot Arena as their script is at the bottom of the top screen..
So what will I do? I have 3 months left on my warranty but the fault is not with Nintendo I presume (Although I'm unsure how it actually happened). I'm a bit unsure about sending it to Nintendo because I'm unsure about how good their customer care is and how reliable is.
Would it be something that one could attempt them self or is it a very specialised job?
Or could I just bring it back to the shop? Or would they just send it on to Nintendo?
HELP!
If I was to reflash my ds with the original firmware, would Nintendo be able to find out that it had been flashed before?
Thanks for the Help.
Some videos so you can see.
