Hello everyone. I just set up the retrotink 5x pro. I have been encountering an issue I never have before. The audio seems to go out after loading a new game or console. Current setup up: Console (N64 and Wii U) -- audio authority 1154A component switcher -- mclassic -- dvdo iscan mini -- marantz sr7009 receiver -- hd fury 4k linker -- epson projector 5040ub.

I am currently using hd retrovision components for systems. I have various saved profiles but the loss of audio now happens for almost every saved profile or game. It does happen to randomly work for certain games on certain systems. Would anyone know a possible solution? Thank your help and I apologize if I am slow to respond -- I have two kiddos here at home.

since retrotink only upgrades the image quality from (s)-video/RGB composite, and the sound is and always will be just at best stereo analogue sound (line out black and white RCA connector... why search for an solution while you can just plug those RCA connectors directly to an AMP? but it should be just 3 wires directly through the retrotink since HDMI does have analogue sound support.. 1 for ground, one for left, one for right, see:

So it's either just a broken wire/solder point or your console is dying.
Tthis can be quick tested by hooking the Red/white connector to an ampifyer or scart connected tv.
