It partially does. Y'see, mice send out data in terms of relative position: where it is compared to last time it was checked. Touch screens, however, do it in terms of absolute position: where it is compared to some fixed point. Without having a known starting point for the mouse, it's really hard to convert between the two. This wouldn't be a problem, except I'm yet to see a single core that supports absolute positioning. Thus; you can't really use touch input at this point.@QuarkTheAwesome : Sorry if I missed that here but does this commit mean I can use the GamePad's screen for mouse inputs in SNES games like Mario Paint or even DosBox games?

@QuarkTheAwesome could you update the link in the OP?![]()
Me neither, no idea what's going on with psx. Also: any PSX news? I've been caught up in other projects ATM so I haven't really been following stuff up...
To answer my own question ... you should download the thumbs on your own here, really:Btw @All: I can't for the life of me figure out how to get thumbnails to work. I tried downloading them with playlist buddy. I tried downloading them from within RetroArch's online updater but they won't show up.
Of course I made sure they are enabled (I set them up to show screenshots of each game).
It's working for me on PC but not on Wii U.

I did notice a recent commit adding relative/absolute conversion into the udev drivers, might be possible to adapt that. Also worth thinking about adding proper absolute support to the cores.
Sweet stuff man. To be honest I'll stay with the official "dot-art" icon theme which is provided by xmb as I simply love that but believe me when I say I'd pick yours if dot-art wouldn't exist. And here are some nice console icons for your playlists.
Read the beginning of my post about how to get the thumbnails.Ok i installed everything completely new now, and at least xmb works. Playlist buddy takes its time to download the images, but they're still 1kb and corrupted. A playlist file is made, but if i choose it in Retroarch it shows the right games but they can't be loaded. If i select the game from sd manually and then a core, it works.
I did everything like in the op...

No.What about overlays or scanlines?
Do those things work yet?
I did some test with , time ago (for libretro nuklear gui)This wouldn't be a problem, except I'm yet to see a single core that supports absolute positioning. Thus; you can't really use touch input at this point.

That'd be awesome. I don't know if it even works right at the moment - the scaling could be wrong.I did some test with , time ago (for libretro nuklear gui)
https://github.com/r-type/libretro-nuklear-soft/blob/master/retro/nuklear_retro_soft.h#L694
if time i could try to build a little core with a virtual keyboard to test your wii U RETRO_DEVICE_POINTER implementation.
That would indeed Be Very awesomeThat'd be awesome. I don't know if it even works right at the moment - the scaling could be wrong.

Nope and there probably won't be for a long while yet.Is there an N64 core for retroarch wii u ?
To answer my own question ... you should download the thumbs on your own here, really:
https://github.com/libretro-thumbnails/libretro-thumbnails
Just click on a system, then the green "clone or download" button and download it as zip. Copy the folder within the zip to your thumbnails folder on your SD card or USB drive and rename the folder (which should contain three "Named_*" folders) to the exakt same name as your playlist (for example Nintendo - Super Nintendo Entertainment System).
And don't ever use playlist buddy to download your thumbs because they are always damaged. That was the reason why it didn't work for me.
Read the beginning of my post about how to get the thumbnails.
About the playlists ... could you post the content of one of your playlist files here in spoiler and code tags?
