@LibretroRetroArc just letting you know that the memory errors (without a stack trace) are problems in the RPX loading code which is more a HBL problem than a RetroArch problem. I wouldn't worry yourself too much about those; a few people have new loading methods in the works. Not a quick fix, sadly.
Spill? What new method is this you speak of sir?

Well, I assumed that Ploggy, PlusRic and I were all helping towards something, a good cause. Guess that was all for naught, go figure.:ph34r:
Wow.
Take another read of my post.
the memory errors (without a stack trace)
Do the vast majority of the errors you're posting have stack traces? Yes. Have they been actively used to fix errors? Yes. I was talking specifically about the system memory errors (160-2203) that happen occasionally upon changing cores.

(sorry about this post; I'm angry about something else...)
Are you re-working the HBL?
Nope. Just trying to come up with a way to avoid using it for RPX loading.

I've been trying a to do a new RPX loader. The one I've been working on doesn't actually work for homebrew code yet, so don't get too excited. It can do small Nintendo (read: SDK) libraries though.

Cool, still its progress and if this can finally kill that annoying fucking Memory Error all the better :)

Fair point, time for me to tone it back all the same, what I'm stating earlier is only angering you :(. As for that other reason, some people in the hacking threads are just.. never mind.

Hey guys. Been a while since I read the thread. What's the current situation? And what is the recommended version to use as of right now?
From the last couple of pages I saw that loading between cores was still a bit problematic.

Game on! :grog:

It's a helluva lot more stable, 1.6.7 latest nightly is the preferred version to use, using the RetroArch channel/forwarder :P

Don't use the HBL to load, as it has current issues with RPX apps in general. No prob :P
Right, I was going to use the forwader channel for it. It's the one linked in OP I guess?
I have a channel installed from months ago, but I believe it's no longer supported? It was the first released by brienj.
I came from a very old setup. Still relying on the app store builds, loaded from HBL. I never really bothered going any further or updating as that just worked for me, playing Snes9x once in a while :D

Download the one from the op and use the latest Retroarch nightly builds, there's been alot of good fixes over last few days :)

What are these forwarders?
(still haven't hacked my wiiu)

Do we need them? if so, can't we make them "official" / add them to the buildbot?

They install to SysNAND once you loaded custom firmware like Haxchi or CBHC, without having to load the homebrew launcher.
Must more reliable for loading.

As Randomizer said it bypasses the HBL so you can boot directly into Retroarch and exit directly to the WiiU Menu and as a byproduct its more reliable at loading Cores :P
Also hack your WiiU!
