I'm using a z80 version of the game. I am able to start R-Type and Zaxxon both with no crashing. The only crashing comes if you start a second ROM, like we had before. I don't know why that problem is present in FUSE, but not the others. I noticed there are a lot of options though once you start a ROM up. If you go to options in the quick menu, you can change the type of Sinclair it is, like Sinclair 48k, Sinclair 128k, etc. Also, if you go into controls, there are settings for different types of joysticks. I tried a bunch of configs though, but I can't get any game to start, and when opening the keyboard overlay with the MINUS key, it doesn't register the key press or something. Maybe someone else can play around and get something to work, but the only crashes I had, was when I started a ROM a second time.
OK as I said everything I tried was tap will try z80 games in the morning and report back.

Good news! I managed to compile BlueMSX,VectreX and Game and Watch with the new SD/USB speed ups :) (only took me 5 days lol)
@brienj sorry mate, I tried messing with Stella for ages but couldn't get it to work :( @pwsincd can you update the Appstore with these news versions?

Thanks :)
Waiting for DSK, MSX Audio and Moonsound support for BlueMSX. Still using BlueMSX Wii version, which is awesome!

Can I make a suggestion?
Would you be able to merge the changes or added stuff you made to the cores files into RA's official repo in GitHub?
It'd be nice if the Wii U releases also get their respective 3DS/3DSX/CIA buildbot packages, for the Wij U being ELF/RPX/WUP(?). So my recommendation would be to merge the changes so that every nightly or release gets its own official installable form per core :)

Oh cool, I was going to eventually do this, but was waiting for it to get a little more stable on everything, until then, I feel it's better just to launch them with HBL, but good job.

Until they all get more stable to install on their own, I had an idea on how to launch them without HBL or having to put them on the SD card, but not actually individually installing them. I may work on that some more.

Just finished trying these Channels and they work fine but Dsi Error when trying to quit the Emulator then having to hard reset :(
Also why doesn't the WiiU Home Menu pop up when pressing the Home Button? (it does with the HBL Channel) Is it because the Home Button is mapped by the Emulator to bring up the Core Menu?

If we can re-enable the WiiU Home Menu we could bypass the exit Dsi Error all together:)

Most likely.
Try disabling the Hotkey in Settings -> Input or remap it to something like an analog stick press.

Oh, so he has the same error as when other people did this? Well, my solution won't have any of those issues, just give me a little time to work it out. But as far as why the Home Button doesn't open the menu, is that the emulator isn't using PROC_UI stuff. Like I said before, just wait a little bit, I think this may be my next project now, making an installable channel.

Nah doesn't work. :(

Cool, I'll wait for your solution then. :)

I'm new to Wii U hacks, but I'm trying to play gameboy advance roms, I've tried gbanext and mgba (from the WiiUbru AppStore) and both crash/freeze on loading. Does retroarch have a gba emulator? Either way, can anyone help explain how I can get started towards playing gba games on the Wii U?

MGBA is the one to use. I've never had any ROM I've tried crash.

When I click load in homebrew menu, the bar doesn't fill up all the way and I have to restart the Wii U. Does it matter if I'm in rednand or not?

*nevermind, I reinstalled and it's working fine now

Sound antialiasing <3
uhm, what exactly is sound antialiasing in your eyes? do you happen to mean resampling by interpolation maybe? I never really liked anything other than linear interpolation on gba to be honest, all other interpolation methods just take away like 90% of the sound brightness and makes it just sound much lower quality.

Linear interpolation works good on GB/GBC and GBA, but on N64 emulators, I find it unnecessary as it's not true to real hardware; mGBA sounds fine to me actually :P

I'm not sure what is the exact term, but to explain it through my mundane knowledge it's the removal of the "hissing" sound that plagues the GBA's sound.

Here are two examples:

With hissing:

Without hissing:

What is the exact term for the "sound cleaning" that mGBA does?

I'm thinking it's some kind of low-pass filtering, not entirely sure. One thing that bothers me big about the GBA (real), is the audio sounds too linear and raspy, akin to the Megadrive. Low-pass filters make it less likely for my ears to bleed.
