What issues?

you should look at the filenames in /retroarch
Also you are supposed to save core options per game for n64

I do use per game core options for N64.

I reset to defaults, which means FBE on. It fixed the graphical problems, as turning on FBE did with my previous settings, but ran super slow and had crackly sound. I turned off Color Buffer and Depth Buffer, which made a big difference, but still drags and stutters a little bit, and doesn't fix the crackly sound problem.

As before, turning off FBE makes everything run smooth as butter, but with the same graphical problems as earlier.

So in essence same situation: FBE fixes graphical problems but presents other problems like slowdown/stutter, and with defaults sound problems. Without FBE it runs smoothly, but with the graphical problems.

Try playing around with the "Less accurate blending mode" setting.

Well, it's not like i don't like FAT32 but ExFat makes things easier, so my option (and other people too) is to have a ExFat SD to Main Switch Games, and another to Homebrew, i don't see what is the problem here...
You originally posted "What issues?" as if you weren't aware of any. But yes I'm referring to all the countless corruption issues that have been posted about.

hahaha yeah I see how much it "makes things easier", says the guy posting about how his "microSD card got corrupted".

Enjoy your issues bro. B-)

Well, solved my issue with another Micro SD, i don't know from where you take out that salt...

DK64.

If you check the last page I posted a couple of screenshots showing the problem.

Oh ok, yeah I was actually playing around with DK64 the other day. Honestly your best bet is to keep FBE "Off" with that game. It ran great for me although I didn't play the entire game all the way thru. Is it perfect? Of course not, but keep in mind this is all still a WIP. Those "issues" you speak of are so minor, I think you really just need to lower your expectations a little. B-)

That’s totally my attitude. If I have to choose between slowdowns and stuttering with perfect emulation otherwise (FBE on) or these minor graphical problems that don’t detract much from the game that otherwise runs quite smoothly (FBE off) I’ll happily take the latter.

I just thought there might be some options setting I wasn’t doing right that would instantly solve this, as is sometimes the case.

Ultimately it’s pretty small potatoes, especially compared to the pre-Next pre-SVC builds.

That's awesome man and I'm glad to hear that! I wish more people shared that same kind of attitude. :)

But yeah I played around with it for awhile the other day and I found that having FBE > Off worked the best for me. IMO, you're not gonna get anything better out of it from the current Mupen64 builds. Same thing with Goldeneye, you can tweak it to kinda run, but it's not perfect.
