I don't know bill I'm not getting any input at all I'd assume if I was the split setting I'd have some input... How do I reset if I can't navigate menu

Have a look in the retroarch.cfg for
split_joycon_p1 = "0"
split_joycon_p2 = "0"

If they are 1 instead

Or try detaching the joy cons

If its not that, delete the cfg

If you want to continue to live the lie of ExFAT being perfectly stable except for this convenient little bit of homebrew, be my guest. Don't be surprised when we can't even help you, though.
And what do you think giving people objectively outdated and worse binaries would help ANYTHING?
Use FAT please. This has been said by EVERY homebrew dev and there's no reason to be so damn stubborn about it. Please don't make our collective work needlessly more difficult.

IDGAF about your nasty "feelings" or whether or not you like exFAT. What you ARE going to do is speak to me in a decent tone or you're going to stay the f up out of my mentions.

I use exFAT and will continue to use exFAT for as long as I choose. I have never asked you for 'your help', so watch your mouth. The only reason I'm watching this thread is to stay up on progress since m4xw is a part of the team and I might end up trying FAT32 for different things he's working on.

The timing of the corruption was a hell of a coincidence and I'm not the first 1 to experience it when using Retroarch.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

In fact we had to deal with this issue since the very beginning of RetroNX

You're a magician. RetroNX FTW. Some of your Retroarch stuff has me close to trying FAT32 after all this time.

Just be careful, I was on the exfat train for months and thought it was exaggerated until it corrupted all my homebrew and I had to redownload everything

Where is the list for scanned directorys located?
Several roms appear twice in my list.
I wanna delete that list and rescan the directory again and hope they don't appear twice anymore.

Also what is the status of the PS1 core?
Does that thing work atm?
It doesn't seem like it likes my Final Fantasy 8 dump.

RTS on console = pain in the ass? But not in this case. The controls made by Mass Media for N64 gamepad in this port of the best Blizzard’s strategy game - is a best made controls of RTS for gamepad ever! For switch controls it’s play great, but lags in mupen64 - is pain((

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this.
When done right, RTSs on console are a BLAST ! Too few people understand that. Too bad SC64 is not playable for the moment...I DESTROYED it on my android console, at least until the broodwar campaign.

Regarding portable RTS, I look forward to play RA3 and Halo Wars on my Smach Z. No more turn based ****, time for REAL strategy :)

How come GoldeneEye64 on Mupen-next mixes left stick and C-buttons ?
I tried rebinding but it solves nothing. :hateit:

Did anyone managed to configure it properly ?

So whenever RetroArch starts up my joycons stop working so I can't navigate the menu...any Idea what I messed up??????

Happened to my right JC, so I couldn't select anything on startup (I wanted to show street of rage to unexperienced youngsters, damn...).
In my case, I messed my button mapping trying to configure goldeneye64...twice.
Recopying a brand new retroarch folder solved it (brutal, but efficient).

Lists are in the playlists folder.

PS1 works well, FF8 works too.

How does GoldenEye run? I've only tested Perfect Dark and it's pretty slow, I was tempted to create a special mapping for this game but it's barely playable at that speed...

Works pretty good if you ask me, considering the first stage is a "wide" area, facility should be a breeze. I find it playable, but the mapping...hugh.
Perfect dark was more demanding ressource wise, and we are not even talking about Conker's BFD :)

So, anyone configured GE64 ?

Will try GoldenEye when I get home, and hopefully figure out a modern FPS mapping :)

For Goldeneye, I have remapped the retroarch controls, leaving the in game controls at default honey layout. Analog to digital type - none

ge64.jpg

R-stick down - C Buttons Y -
R-stick up - C Buttons Y +

Sniping is tricky though :)

For Goldeneye, I would recommend you guys map the right analog stick to the C buttons, and to play around with the different control schemes that Goldeneye has in its options / Pause menu.
I remember I used to play around with those, and I found one scheme that fit somewhat well with modern controls, though I can't remember if it was the Honey scheme or another one.

Okay, with the goodnight scheme, setting c buttons to left stick works well now.

Retroarch controls

B button - L-trigger
Y button - B Button (C2)
ZL - Z-Trigger
ZR - A button (C3)

So ZR is fire, ZL is aim, B weapon change, Y is action

Only issue I've found is that you need to use ZR to select in menus.
