Hey thanks for the advice. I'm on exfat. I tried changing those directories. I went to rescan my game folder as some were missing from the list, and it stopped showing all the thumbnails I'd just downloaded and had working. I redownloaded them via retroarch and once again, my oot save file isn't detected

I would be you I wouldn't use exfat with homebrew, rather fat 32... Exfat generates bad data corruption, especially at the moment of the quicksave of a game, 2 sec of backup if you leave the game at that moment, since retroarch is reset, it's blows to have an sd exfat card with corrupted data

The new stable .nsp with overclocking menu still cannot create core specific config files.
By saving the core override options, simply an empty *.cfg file is created.

I can manually edit the changes into the *.cfg file and they are properly loaded and applied, but it's an annoying bug anyways.
Furthermore, when I loaded a game with a core specific override and then load a new game from a different core without closing the old one first, retroarch crashes.
This doesn't happen when no core specific override was loaded in the first place. So something is fishy here, I guess...

plus: Having a core specific settings for the overclock would also be nice. Then all 8-16 bit consoles could run in power save mode by default...

Anyways, thanks for everyones work on this masterpiece of software. I am 40 years old now and if I had a system like this 20 or 30 years ago, my brain probably would have exploded ;)

You choose an OC frequency, you can do either save config oc by core, or even by game.

Thanks to the OC function my PSX games run perfectly now . thank YOu so much for your hard work!!! I really appreciate it.

But what I'm really missing in the PSX emulator is a function to play my psx games with a higher resolution. The adaptive smoothing function from the Mednafen PSX HW would be so awsome

So I have problems with Tomba 2! at the beginning of the game I get the song play normally but then it starts like level 2 song very glitchy, this game has 2 tracks and 1 .cue file, the game wont open with the cue file but it will if I select track 1.bin, what other formats are complatible with this emulator? Honestly this has been an issue FOREVER with this game for me... only couple emulators get the .cue file right and play the song in a loop without glitching. Any idea of how to fix it?

EXTRA INFO:

When i load the .cue file instead of the track1.bin file the game shows Sony Computer Entertaiment and then it freezes the whole console, i cant get out of RetroArch, i cant put the console to sleep only way out is to turn off by holding power button.

I previously was able to play Metal Gear Solid on PSX rearmed with sound, but now I get no sound. BIOS file is in /retroarch/cores/system folder. Can anyone tell me why I have no sound please?

Yeah i ve tried that "enhanced resolution" option but it doesnt make any difference
Good to know thank you

Did you turn your sound off?

Psx eboot that I tested and that doesn't work.
Final doom/ gunner's heaven/ metal gear solid PAL (euro) / rayman/ wipeout/ wipeout 2 2097/ "wipeout3/tomb raider 1 compilation with a game demo
EDIT
problem solved
Core information > missing bios usa? Eur??? Jap????
I check nx shell my bios? they are well present....
Decide to move my bios folder to the root of the sd card, only one folder, restart core pcsx rearmed, core > information > bios present. Usa, eur, japan
So don't put your resources in too many sub-folders.
Metal gear work with sound eboot .pbp ( eur/ pal 50 hz )
Fantastic my gunner's heaven ( jap 60 hz) also works perfectly cool.
