I did some more tests yesterday, and I seem to get a dramatic speed increase in FB Alpha if I
- enable the switch_thread audio driver under "drivers"
- enable threaded video under "Video"

I tested this with Power Drift in FB Alpha, it is such a cool game. With the above changes, the game runs full speed. Otherwise it is slowed down heavily.

I have encountered problems getting the threaded video option to not reset itself. It seems like I have to enable it again every time I load a new core. Maybe it is not saved in the configuration file, or the setting is not loaded correctly on startup?

Well you shouldnt exit using the home button

Hmm maybe that is the problem. But I disabled "Save configuration on exit." Instead, I have been using the manual "Save configuration". Most of the options ARE saved, just the threaded video option seems to be off everytime I restart.

Am I alone in experiencing audio noises or hiccups on PS1 and other cores as well? This damn out of sync popping sound.

I've tried all the options. SNES works very well but both nes and the two genesis cores and ps1 struggles. Which exact audio threading option?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious but I'm having a hard time setting button binds to save state, load state, go to previous save state slot, go to next save state slot, slow down and speed up. I thought I'd do this by editing the retroarch.cfg and setting the binds in there to buttons I see in the pro controller autoconfig. If anyone can help out that'd be great, I'm trying to get this working with gambatte (not sure if that makes a difference).
Edit: For anyone as stupid as me, go to settings menu > Input > Input Hotkey Binds. Setup "Enable hotkeys" bind, you hold this to use the other hotkeys. Then just create whatever hotkeys you want and then save your config.

Any reason why when I scan for games, I get double/triple of a certain SNES game, but it will "not load due to it not being on the playlist", iirc. Because I do not have it on my sd card.

I am only using a few select SNES games, and they're no intro, so they all show up. Along with the mystery games I didn't add. Thanks!
