So, what is the deal with N64... My folders are setup according to the first post, in the root of my flash card Roms\ <name of console>

I deleted my roms and recopied them from the original tested source and checked all permissions to make there was nothing funky that could cause issues. I also updated all cores/retroarch before putting the roms on the SD card.

All system games appear fine accept N64. If I do a scan, it will not find anything, If I point the scan to where the N64 roms are, RetroArch will crash.

If I do a manual scan. Setting the N64 Rom folder ( Nintendo - Nintendo 64), System name as such, Core, Nintendo 64 (Mupen64Plus-Next) and set file etx to N64 (as all the files are labeled as .n64), I kick it off and I will see a "No Valid Content Detected" message come up.

I know N64 is hit or miss but normally stuff like Mario 64 and very popular ones normally run ok to good but, I can't even add files to select to use in my library.

Any idea ? Or is there a work-a-round for the N64 ?

Bump, anyone have an idea why I cant use this to find N64 games ?

Or did a miss a document someplace ?

I have a problem with at least ppsspp core, it just freezes completely in any game after about 10-15 minutes, and I can exit RA only via home button.

I tried nightly and stable .nro+core files, deleted retroarch cfg, and it didn't help. Any ideas what else I can do?

Use standalone for ppsspp.

Last time I tried was RetroArch 1.8.6 or so I guess but I definitely did not have those issues. Played Teklen 6 for hours in RetroArch. You should open a Github bug report issue.

I'm not sure if this is a bug and not me did something wrong.

Upd. It's psp core for sure, I tested N64 and it works just fine. Also tried stable RA 1.8.6 and it didn't help. PPSSPP standalone works fine too.

Upd. 2. In case someone will experience this. Try to switch to thread audio driver in RetroArch, not audren. It was the cause of games freezing completely.

Wow! I got Entertained here by just reading arguments at page 404-405 while looking at which cores getting updated, improved etc..

Has anyone gotten combos to work well in Mother 3? I've been messing with latency settings for hours and the best I've gotten is the timing off so that it hits consistently when my thumb lifts off the button, not when i press it.

Has anyone seen any performance gains with the new build of Mupen64Plus-Next 2.1 on switch? The documentation says it should really speed up switch for N64 games, however in games like 007, I see no performance gains with the new threaded mode and still get very high rates of stutter even with max overclock:

Some games like Goldeneye and Quake II will probably always run badly unless there is some major breakthrough. They are known problem games.

Overall the performance is great, but as sj33 said some games just don't run well, even on more powerfull CPUs than tegra x1.

Hi Everybody, its been a while since I checked the Retroarch progress.

Could someone tell me if theres some decent Emulators for NDS and 3DS integrated intro Retrocharch?
Maybe MelonDS and Citra?

MelonDS is decent, but discontinued.

Citra is being worked on for Switch but it's not available to the public yet. You have to be a patreon of m4xw and it's beta.

Thx for your reply! How does this affect NDS-Emulation? I mean, am I able to run major games like ZeldaPH, ZeldaST, new super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS in a decent way?

I have not tested those games because I have them on other systems. You'll likely have to test them yourself unless someone else can answer.

MelonDS isn't discontinued
It is still being worked on, just hasn't seen much updates lately.
