kAnyone try getting the Dragon Ball Z Team Training rom hack booting with mGBA and VBA-next core? I thought I had gotten it to work before but now it doesn't seem to want to get past the gba bios boot screen.
Thanks for letting me know about that game. Seems like one of the few Pokémon rom hacks I would really try.
I'll test it today or tomorrow with the mGBA core to see if it works for me.

One thing you guys should definitely enjoy is this:
Super Mario Land 2 DX

I guess most of you already know about this but I'm playing it right now and it's really well done.

I think I figured it out. It was something to do with headered and headerless ROMs. Doesn't explain why they worked fine on Retroarch PC and RPi though.

There have been a few PR's lately about that, but I dont know any details.
Can you confirm same thing happens with the 1.7.5 stable?

Who wants to experiment a bit?

Sign me up.

How are these HD textures loaded. Is it a separate asset file or some kind of resolution upscaling? Sorry ive not used this feature in RA before

Played Majora's Mask for a couple hours yesterday and got a bunch of crashes. Getting the Moon's Tear, Approaching Kamaro, fighting the Dodongos under one of the big mushrooms, dancing with a scarecrow all caused crashes. What's weird is that loading a savestate and trying again usually worked.

Was running pretty much fullspeed with no overclock otherwise though.

Working for me (only tested with mGBA).

I’m experiencing the same. Are you using the dynarec beta or one of the nightlies?

He is using the same build as you
I updated Core and Info files, update mupen64 core all through the online updater, and got “software must be closed due an error”, I’m testing with GoldenEye and Perfect Dark and both do the same. Using z64.

any idea what hd texture pack is being used in that tweet?

this is what i found so far in terms of instructions (you know cause that's needed to experiment):

Ok, so I'm trying to convert some texture packs to .htc using the method linked above, but pj64 refuses to save my settings...specifically it unchecks the texture pack box everytime i load the software, making it unusable for this.
Anyone else run into this issue?
Could some kind sirs and/or madams convert the available n64 texture packs to .htc and upload somewhere if not allowed here? Normally I wouldn't need such assistance, but this seems to be seriously bugged in my setup.

Yea and both are not supported since day 1 of the dynarec
