I think there's a memory leak of some sort. Returning to the home screen and then resuming the emulator causes the screen to turn black. Also, closing the app from the home screen leads to either long wait times or a hard crash.
 
what ? a 50MB pce rom ?
if you mean CDrom images, they work, if they don't for you it just means that you didn't put the correct bios in the system folder.

Menu: 20 fps
Intro: 20-30 fps (though sometimes looks full speed)
First level: 17-23 fps

Settings:
  • Provided BIOS in folder
  • vsync OFF
  • Audio OFF
  • Bilinear scaling OFF
  • Force aspect ratio OFF
 
Aliaspider, you still have no solution for Neo Geo rom that are really big?

I didn't write any of these emus, and most of the work was done by those and by many others in the libretro project.
this miracle was done by the people who wrote pcsx rearmed :).

reached open world and with and without fast forward it does only 30 -35fps (n3ds)
battles at 55
 
The Gambatte core works wonderfully on the N3DS. I'm running a few demoscene ROMs that usually choke on weak devices and I've not seen any FPS drops so far (no frameskip, fast forward, or any of that trickery needed). Very nicely done. The only thing I notice is that sometimes the audio pops a bit, but if I recall, CSND has random pops, so I can't really blame Gambatte for that.
