Oookey, 2016-06-13_RetroArch_cia.7z works fine, sorry for panic :)

Playing mega drive Pitfall via genesis plus gx, there is strange vertical distortion when moving, is there settings to fix this? It seems like something wrong with resolution of the game and the display.

Last edited by PiXi,
Put a dent in my wallet and bought a pre-owned N3DS XL (fw 10.7) a few days ago, and a copy Cubic Ninja on ebay today. I'm crazy itchy to get homebrew and every running; RetroArch in particular. Huge thanks and props to any ingenious psycho who was, and/or is, willing to spend any time working on homebrews and emulation and stuff for this unworthy heathen (and Earthlings like yourself) to enjoy.

I'm gonna spend so much bastarding time playing SNES games on there. Screwing around with different PS1 games should be interesting, too.

And, like...

...Marvel vs. Capcom; Nintendo handheld?

Holy sweet friggin' Betty. That video has to be rubbish editing voodoo. I will only believe it when I'm holding it myself.

Pitfall - The Mayan Adventure (USA) have some visual issues like bad vsync or something similar, hard to explain, more like vertical tearing/distortion, tried a lot of versions of genesis_plus_gx_libretro, tried catsfc_plus_libretro, the same bug among all Pitfall versions. Any Pitfall fans here? :)

Tried the gba version of the game?

This how it's look:

For those wondering what's the issue.
It's a tearing issue near the center-right part of the screen.
You can see some sort of vertical distortion just a tidbit to the right from the center.

It happened to me too with the Genesis Plus GX core, but I don't know what I did to fix it:
  1. Installed the stable 1.3.3 CIAs for ALL my emus.
  2. Installation of A9LH in my N3DS.
It's one of those two things, I'm sure after one of those two that the issue was fixed.
Try the first point, install the 1.3.3 stable CIAs/3DSX files into yout N3DS and try with those ones.

since i have installed the bad latest cias i have returned to nightly of 13 and june and stable release of may it doesnt work also now how to fix ?

@ShadowOne333

Thanks! 1.3.3 works great! SNES version of Pitfall run awesome via Catsfc Plus, Genesis Plus GX works great too.

As I understand now it's not possible to run SEGA CD games at full speed, right?

And about Sega 32x, only Picodrive have 32x support?

I'm on n3DS with latest firmware under a9lh v2, sysNAND, Luma3DS and GW a9lh payload.

Ah-jah!
So it was the 1.3.3 installation that made the tearing go away, good to know!

I can't tell about Sega CD, they do work but I don't know how well, I never tried one in RA Gen Plus core, try Sonic CD to start off, and yes, only Picodrive has 32x support AFAIK.

Im sure this has been asked before but I looked and couldnt find anything concrete. Im trying to run sotn on n3ds with the 1.3.3 cia and im getting about 35 fps with no frameskip, 40 with 1 and 45 with 2. I have both the settings op says to make it run "near full speed" and audio disabled but 40 fps is far from full speed. Anything else I can do?

Okay so I want to run most RE I can in PCSX Rearmed, which of them all run the best without disabling audio or so?

@Smoker1

Tried Pitfall - The Mayan Adventure (USA) sega cd version and fps aren't great at all :(

What version of PicoDrive do you use?
