I just came by to give some input that hopefully might be some help to those who don't already know. It seems that the latest firmware on n3DSXL 11.0 emu doesn't seem to support the previous build of retroarch and simply crashes on startup no matter the cia file. Until a new stable version of retroarch is released, people who already have 11.0 will either have to deal with the screen tearing of the current stable build or hope they can revert their emunand to <11.0.

Use ntr firm and/or luma

Any experience here with the PC Engine CD (Mainly rondo of blood)? Console itself seems well in the scope of n3ds emulation but I think it's having trouble processing the ~450mb ISO's. If there are any settings I should look into adjusting please let me know.

rondo of blood works fine on N3DS. do you have the syscard3,pce file in the right directory (retroarch/cores/system)?

do you have any filters on? some filters will cause slowdown even on the N3DS. additionally, i also find that it lags for a little bit during level transitions due to music loading as well.

Is there another NES core I can use besides FCEumm? I'm using a New3DS. How good is QuickNES?
One game doesn't work with FCEumm (Magical Doropie/Krion Conquest (MegaMan clone).

EDIT: The game works on Nestopia, never mind.

I don't know for you, but I can't have Pcsx working for me.
I open it, and I'm automatically back on the HomeMenu.
I'm using the CIA, on my SysNand 11.X + A9LH Luma3DS.

On the first post, I see EMUNAND ONLY, but since A9LH is possible, I hope it's possible on 11.X Sys

It works for me, although I'm using the NTR firmware.bin loading feature on Luma3DS.

Well, the latest nightlies AND the latest stable releases are bad, try 1.3.3. If you're already on that, PCSX is one of the emulators that require svcbackdoor to work properly, which was removed in 11.0. Luma should patch it back in (in the latest release/nightlies) but I use an older firmware.bin just to be safe.

In the OP it says that .cia is for 9.2 or lower, and .3dsx for 9.3 and higher. Is that valid for users of a9lh+luma with the latest updated firmware as well ? I've never had to deal with .3dsx files before, so I'm just curious.

Hi All!
Noob question, I'm on SysNand 11 + A9LH Luma3DS and can't run any emulator as CIA, is there anything I can do about it? Or I must have 9.2 or below?

try updating Luma3DS.

that's if you were using 9.2 sysnand with an updated emunand. you can install CIA files, so use that.
