Are those tests made with sound enabled or without sound?
I want to try PCSX with RE Directors Cut and RE3. Have you tested those by any chance?
I play re2 and re3 on mine, and i usually get between 58-60 on gameplay and around 45 on cutscenes, audio seems like it goes too fast i guess because of the refresh rate, i wish there was a way to make it constant 30fps

Can anyone help me get gfx filters installed in gpsp? Are there any filters available for 3ds and where do I go to enable them? I've looked around video options and haven't found much.

Old3DS is hopeless for Retroarch then? even in the latest version?
Most likely, The people at retroarch are in charge of porting emulators and making them work as a frontend, if anyone wants to improve/optimize some of the available cores that's another task

I'm having trouble setting up the configuration overrides, trying to set up browser dirs for individual cores, for the override file i have:
rgui_browser_directory = "sdmc:/nes"
#include "sdmc:retroarch/retroarch.cfg"

also tried just rgui_browser_directory = "sdmc:/nes"

in /retroarch/retroarch.cfg i have set rgui_config_directory = "sdmc:/retroarch/cores/configs"

ive tried naming the file
/nestopia.cfg
/nestopia/nestopia.cfg
/nestopia_libretro/nestopia.cfg
/retroarch/nestopia.cfg
/retroarch/nestopia/nestopia.cfg
/retroarch/nestopia_libretro/nestopia.cfg
/retroarch/cores/configs/nestopia/nestopia.cfg
/retroarch/cores/configs/nestopia.cfg
/retroarch/cores/configs/nestopia_libretro/nestopia.cfg
/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/nestopia/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/nestopia_libretro/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/retroarch/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/retroarch/nestopia/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/retroarch/nestopia_libretro/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/retroarch/cores/configs/nestopia/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/retroarch/cores/configs/nestopia_libretro.cfg
/retroarch/cores/configs/nestopia_libretro/nestopia_libretro.cfg

Im completely out of ideas any help or direction will be appreciated.

core overrides will not work currently I think since they rely on core loading, which isn't implemented yet.

Oh, my bad, thanks for the heads up. I know the OP said the Save/Load config is broken but it had mentioned that the overrides were an alternative, which is why i was trying to get it working.

you sure config save/load is broken ?

saving will write to a new config file, and will not update the currently loaded one, so it is easy to misinterpret it as being broken. (unless that was changed recently)

try loading your custom made configs and see if they work, don't use save to update them, they should be updated automatically when you exit.

game specific overrides 'might' work, but they obviously require more efforts to set up.

- For now RetroArch config is shared between core. Save/Load config is broken. just make changes and quit RetroArch (and press start), relaunch RetroArch, your changes should be saved.
(An alternative would be using Configuration Overrides) (thanks @Radius4 )

not entirely i haven't tried using it too hard, only tried loading a config and it didn't work, however my post was directly referencing in the OP quoted above.

also, thank you for your replying, i do appreciate it, otherwise id probably still be frustrating over it thinking i was doing it wrong.

Also i just noticed who you were, so thank you for all your work towards the code as well.
