Don't think so. I just make savestates afterwards.
Wonderswan ran at 75hz.

fMSX savestates are working now. :yay:

My friend wants to back up PS1 Final Fantasy 7 games to play on the emulator on his N3DS. Question is whether the emulator supports multi disc game (Need to change disc at some point)? If it's possible please, give me instructions so I can explain to my friend. Thanks.

How this this guy get 50.+ fps for FF7?

yes it does support disc switching (Core Disc Options> Disc Index)
How this this guy get 50.+ fps for FF7?> did you check the OP, I wrote it there ;)
(set A/V synch to off and sound interpolation to the lowest possible (nearest?) can't find this setting anymore)
I know I'm running Parasite Eve at the same speed.
Just tried on 3DSX builds, could not get more than 20fps... you definitely need a 9.2< system and CIA/Gateway rom build to reach that speed.

Better DSP support might help increase speed in the near future.

But I guess if you friend want to play this RIGHT NOW on n3DS, he should use the UK version of the game, which runs at 50Hz locked.

@Slasher115 What was broken with Neo Geo ? (mine worked fine (did some testing with 3DSX/3DS/CIA with the 27 or 28-10 version I think :))

Added to the OP :
- info and link about new blargSnes (2.5HAX) (for use in place of catsfc for now for o3DS 3dsx users)
- some other stuff about IPS and arcade parent/clone system

More info on this that might help narrow down the issue. I went in and started messing with aspect ratio stuff, and when I set the aspect ration to 1:1, the stuttering is gone. So its seems like it has something to do with how its blowing up things to the normal 4:3 size maybe? If anyone else can try this and see if it gets rid of the stutter for them, just so I know its not just my machine....
About that problem (vertical "tearing" on the left side of the screen).
I've tried to adjust "Frame delay" in the settings. Increasing the value from 0 to 3 seems to fix most of the issue for me. You should try it.

You should try the save/load configuration files function.

It's in-game, in the unibios so it has nothing to do with the conf files :(

but you could make a save state and load it lol

How does the neogeo run now on o3DS ?

I'm checking later, excited as fuck for Baseball Stars 2 XD

Edit: Actually here's a question for those that have probably asked themselves...

Have the devs said anything about netplay or if it's even possible?
Seems like it can't be possible, but I'll ask anyway if it's on the cards.

Please help with my post (the last and this). As far as I test PS1 emulator on N3DS XL at best give around 20+ fps. Anyone know which games are good at this kind of speed?

which GBA core is the best/has best compatibility: mGBA or Gpsp? 9.0 N3ds with cakes
Gpsp as cia, for most games, mgba for some......but GBA Rom injection runs NATIVELY (read 1:1, perfect), you should try that. (link at the bottom of the 1st post if you need pointers :) )

Actually reading my previous answer to you would help lol
(from the speed you're experiencing you're using .3dsx builds (as I said and was is stated in this thread's first post, you need to use cia builds and custom fw on 9.2< for this.)

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
