likely a dumb question but I have to ask, because why not.

does retroarch support RTC (real time clock)? looking to play pokemon silver and one of the core features of this game was the RTC. I understand it would likely be the gambatte core, but I did not see anything on the libretro wiki to specify there is RTC functionality

Yes it works. I am playing Pokemon Crystal with Gambatte flawlessly the only thing I wish it had was link features. There is even a very long in depth tutorial on Youtube on how to trade Generation II Pokemon into the newer generations. :)

Just finished RE3 Nemesis using the pcsx 1/31/16 build. It ran full speed during gameplay with some occasional slowdown (explosions, etc.) but it ran slow during cutscenes. I would say it's fully playable. I never expected to be playing PS1 games on the N3DS. Nice :)

Hey guys, so GPSP doesn't really work all that well for me on my N3DS. If I open a gba game, close it, and then try to load a different GBA game, the emulator will freeze with some kind of a "can't push null into empty core" kind of message on the bottom screen, and then I have to turn off the system. Also, load states flat out do not work. If I try to load any save state, it loads up where I saved it in the game except it's frozen and with garbled audio, and then I have to turn off the system.

I have a N3DS and a N3DS XL and they both suffer from this so I don't know what's going on. Anyone else encounter the same issues? I've heard GPSP is near flawless on N3DS so it's a bit weird. I've tried multiple different retroarch builds, some from within the last week to some from months ago. No luck. My systems are both on 9.2 sysnand and 10.3 or 10.4 emunand.

I checked my gba bios MD5 and it looks good, no issues there.

Any help?

edit: Pokemon Fire Red just froze at the part where I'm giving my rival a name. I was just trying to play the game, no save states or load states or anything. No idea what's going on.

Switching games freezing happens with every retroarch emulator from what i have seen.

Thanks but I just tried out an old build that I had on my computer from 11/8/15 and it runs flawlessly, no freezing when switching and closing games and load states works now! No idea why this old build works compared to the newer ones for me but whatever.

questions:
i am new to emulators on 3DS
i tried gPSP cia file , but most of the time when i load a game it freeze my n3DS

i downloaded every thing from here
https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/nintendo/3ds/

what is core ? is it the bios ? do i need it ? because when the emulator not crashed , it play the game , but not 60 FPS ( 56 FPS and doesn't look good )
do i need others files ? and where to put them ( not where to find them , i think i have an idea where to find them, but is they the same files that can be used on windows ? )

what the best PS1 emulator ?
also the same for the core , just name the core or the bios.
what type of PS1 games files it runs ? because it can't see .iso files.

Not sure if this has been asked, but is it normal to get some screen glitching at the top of the image on gbpsp? It runs everything at perfect speed, all Roms just display a black flickery line from time to time. All Roms fine on PC. I'm using the newest nightly. Thanks.

Seems to be a known issue. You should be able fix it by enabling a filter in the video settings.

I just reinstalled Retroarch with stable release but somehow I was unable to navigate the menu. I tried deleting config file many time but still no result. The only built that accepts input was November 8th but config saving doesn't work with it.
Anyone has any ideas what's going on?

EDIT: For some reasons, 3DS Controller.cfg causes the problem, delete it turn my control back to normal. Still have no idea why it happened in first place.
I have another question, how do I need to do to activate audio dsp? I placed dspfirm in both root and /3ds then went to driver setting but there are only 2 option 'csnd' and 'null' under audio tab. Should I edit it to 'dsp' manually or there are no ways to use dsp at the moment?

Has anybody been able to get the cfg overrides to work? I'm trying to set up aspect ratios and ROM directories on a per-emulator basis and can't make the damn thing work. I just want to know if somebody got it working and if so, would you be willing to share one of your cfg files so I can see how it's put together.
