Hacking RetroArch, can PlayStation 2 games currently be played on the Vita?

Are there cores yet to play PlayStation 2 gams? I know RetroArch had to be remanded.

Haha no, and probably won't ever be able to. There's no devs for PS2 emulators besides PCSX2 team, whose ego is through the roof, and don't want to further the project.

And a lot of PS2 games ported to the Vita are just remakes made from the ground up.
