Hey, guys. I want to preface this thread by stating that this is a really silly request and I know it is the complete wrong place to post this but I have nowhere else to turn.

If anyone on here is part of the mod team on the Reswitched Discord, I would like to be unbanned. A couple months ago I was banned for talking about backups (rightly so, it was against the rules). Unfortunately, I just skimmed the rules just to get into the Discord (how many of us really read all of the terms and conditions) without actually reading them. Either way, I made an alt account today and tried to plead my case but I was ultimately banned again. I would just like to participate in the community but I keep getting gimped at every opportunity.

I would appreciate it if you are a mod in the Discord or have any pull to unban me. I probably won't even post, I just want to stay up to date with all of the progress that is happening and forums are ultimately too slow of a source of info.

Again, sorry for everyone who has to read this - this is a silly request but I don't know what else to do. I know I could just make another alternate account but that is against the rules and is just stupid.

P.S. I know I sound like a whiny five year old and it pains me to make this request in a public place as a grown man, but I have no other recourse.

I think this is an odd place to make a request. There's a chance it will get their attention but no one will be fond of how you went about it.

I think this is an odd place to make a request. There's a chance it will get their attention but no one will be fond of how you went about it.

Been there, asking around can not hurt though. But every place has some set of rules. Look at GBAtemp they have some ... you could suffer a similair fate here if you just wing it in regard to disclosing information deemed against the rules.

It does bring up a question if a direct ban is always the way to go.
All depends on the exact reasons and what the policy they tend to keep though.

In most cases there will be a way to reach the mods / team. In this case not sure who oversees that part but https://reswitched.tech/meta/contributing notes you could adress Daeken directly and if Im not mistaken he swings by here every now and again as well.

Either way best of luck getting back in.

Forum or Discord server rules aren't 600-page legalese manuscripts. How hard could it have been to read a few bullet points? Your fault for being ignorant. There's rules regarding backups (aka doorways to piracy) for a reason.
