The problem stems from if you have a PAL copy of the game then it puts you in the European server whether you like it or not, the same goes for America and Japan.

Oh right, I never knew that.

Just a thought, wouldn't it be better to change the region of the ISO?

Been a while since I've done that though. Maybe Monster Hunter has improved region checking...?

Worked great! Thanks again Diesel for that one, my character's now a fully fledged American and I can now easily switch it back and forth as needed.
