Hacking Suggestion [REQUEST] Network Settings Override via LayeredFS

The reason: This could be the next best thing to EmuNAND for those worried about possible console ban.

The idea: A (LayeredFS?) patch to prevent any and all communication with Nintendo servers (and permit other network activity, such as HB appstore).

Convenience factor: If it's a patch, the moment you boot into CFW you remain safe without having to think about it. Just so long as you have not made any permanent soft mod to your console.

Is this possible? Feasible with the current overall progress of the scene?

Convenience factor: If it's a patch that requires running CFW, the instant you boot back to OFW you are safe again so long as you have not made any permanent soft mod to your console.

Sure, that is an option too. In practice, that is virtually the same thing if the patch effectively blocks all network traffic either way. Either works, unless we can figure out a way to perform my latter suggestion and only block out communication with NOA servers.

So why not just use airplane mode while in CFW?

Simple and effective, but still leaves room for error/Nintendo connecting to your console and potential ban (if you forget to activate airplane mode prior to CFW boot). The point of the patch is that it auto-implements without the user having to think about it, and whenever booting into CFW.
