Yeah it looks like i won't be doing this... x.x Everything about it sounds too complex for me, maybe even dangerous. i didnt think this was gonna require tools.

You could always just order an RCM jig from ebay for like $5 which makes it pretty much 0 risk

well that sounds a whole lot simpler. XD Still i have no idea what i'd be doing. tbh i went out to buy a micro sd adapter cause i thought this was gonna be a simple thing x_x

once you understand the switch modding scene its quite simple though the reason you cant just copy from sd is because the saves are stored on the systems nand not the sd card like the 3ds

I could help you essentially connect your switch to your computer it should appear as a device called Nintendo Switch or Switch turn it off short the 2 pins that you need to short I suggest a jig for this then while they are being shorted hold Vol+ and tab power instead of showing the nintendo logo nothing should appear and on your computer a device called APX will be shown

Oh, one other thing i should mention, will this work on a laptop?

I'm kind of hesitant right now, cause i'm worried i'm going to do something wrong and brick my system.

only way you can damage your system is buy damaging the console itself when trying to get it into RCM which can be avoided with a jig or risked once by another method then install AUTORCM though take note that autoRCM makes it so the system cannot boot the normal system software anymore and would make it so the system would have to be booted from a pc

Hmm... well, i'll probably buy the jig then i'll PM you when it comes in. assuming i can PM here, cause like i said, i'm new here.
 
Just wanted to add something to this thread. The skill for "Heart Power" is 36 in Hex, if you're building weapons. It looks like that skill didn't exist in Legends, or if it did it wasn't included in the pastebin. I'll edit or post when I figure out the skill number for Legendary (boosts weapon attack power to 560)

EDIT: Just noticed that this was posted earlier in the thread. Sorry. Sleepy.

I attempted to edit in everyone's level 4 weapon so I can unlock the Master Sword, but it appears you need to get it as a drop or a reward to have it properly register. Shame. Oh well, back to the grind, at least I have one of the skills (10k) unlocked for having all 1-3, just need a lot of level 4.

Well, I looked at the 3DS thread and it looks like Legendary is indeed the skill that others get that's 10k purple until you've fully unlocked the master sword. I've unlocked one of the skills, but don't know the offsets for Master Sword offsets. I'd need identical saves with them un-purple-locked to try to compare them and even then I don't think it would work very well. Guess I'm farming level 4 weapons, but if you want to have your weapons be more powerful change the 03 at the end of the weapon hex to 13. I dunno if you have to slot the actual Legendary skill. I don't think it's the same skill ID as the ones on the Master Sword, but I don't know the skill ID. I'll unlock it normally and report back, but it means I have to do Termina/Twilight/etc. So it'll be a bit.

Anyone have any clue to find the Gallery data or the unlocked weapons data? We determined in a discord that you have to have the weapon displaying in the gallery for it to "count." If there's a way to find the gallery and then subsequently unlock all the weapons we could unlock the master sword properly, well, maybe.

I'm thinking it's lumped in with the character data but it's not like it lists all of their weapons, that would be too easy, there's some value that has to be changed, and I can't find any value that seems to line up that's different between a character where I have all of the weapons unlocked and one where I don't. You need to pick up/find the weapon for it to count, which makes it appear in the gallery, which is the easiest way to track what you're getting too.

If I could find the way to unlock character's gallery data/unlocked weapons it would certainly be faster than going through termina/twilight/etc.

EDIT: Forgot about Lorule D-14, which is a Divisive fight against Yuga, 3x4 Yugas, 8 weapons drop almost each time and with weapon rank II I almost consistently get golds (lv4), so I'm doing that instead. But for now it's time for sleep.

So once I got all level 4 weapons (thus completing having -every- weapon in the game), the 03 at the end of a weapon turned into a 13 if it had Legendary on it, even if it was still sealed. So that is something to note. Now I'm just goofing off and attempting to see what the game will let me get away with when it comes to hex editing weapons.

EDIT: It looks like 2A is Legendary. So you can make a level 1 weapon with 8 slots and put legendary and 5 stars on it and it'll have 840 power. If you have any weapons that are currently locked and purple you will need to unlock all of the Master Sword, which I can't figure out how to do in Hex. But, you can try searching for 10 27 (10,000) or 2A on your weapons to see if you can zero out the 10 27 and see if it unlocks it. If it doesn't you've got some weapon grinding to do.

I try that more early but didn't work but you can bring down the kills down to 1 so you won't have so many to kill when it does unlock.
 
Once you've met the prerequisite for Legendary on other weapons, it'll unlock if you set it to 00. Because you haven't unlocked Legendary by getting every weapon, it's still "locked." I don't know the way to trigger the "Fully Powered Master Sword" bits. I just tested this by using a weapon that had 10,000 for Legendary and edited it to 00 00, and it unlocked right away.

Unfortunately I don't really know where to begin on finding that value.
