I'd like to request someone make a homebrew port of the original Arkanoid arcade classic, that is compatible with the Taito spinner slot 2 device.

Probably not what you want, but I had started an arkanoid game at one point.

There are a few things to note:
-It is a Supercard DS2 plugin
-Due to the first point, it can't support the DS Paddle controller.

If you, or anyone else is still interested in this, let me know and I'll get to work on finishing it.

At this point, I'm not sure you'll find anyone still actively developing homebrew who is willing to remake an entire game for the sake of adding support for an obscure controller. Maybe you could contact the people working on nesDS for paddle support and stick with the nes version of the game.

It's not that obscure. It's really how the game was meant to be played. The spinner lets you move the paddle very quickly and precisely. Actually, the original arcade cabinet of Arkanoid used a similar device as a controller, and when the game was ported to the NES by Taito, they produced similar devices to be distributed with that game. I'm not an expert on the game, but it was ported to many systems, and I wouldn't be surprised if other versions of the controller were produced to go along with those ports, as well as the DS paddle. As for the DS version, the pink coloured one can be bought for just $15. It's a great addition to a DS system since it's compatible with the excellent Space Invaders, as well as Bust-A-Move and Arkanoid, however, unfortunately the Arkanoid remake for DS is considered extremely bad. That's why I'm surprised no one's remake the original arcade version of the game, or at least the Amiga version which is nearly identical except for the addition of a continue option. The NES version is supposedly good, but it's different from the original arcade/Amiga version and I'd rather play the original. It's considered a classic game, and considering there exists the perfect way to play it on the DS with the DS Paddle, and that the DS is more than capable of emulating the game along with the very active homebrew scene, I'm very surprised it a port hasn't been made.

I received a response from Alekmaul, he said sorry but he isn't working anymore on the DS. It seems like he's left a lot of his projects unfinished with bugs, so maybe an Arkanoid emu made by him wouldn't have been so great anyway...
