It's not WiiGator's cIOS.

It's Waninkoko's cIOS.

Waninkoko's cIOS rev5 was just IOS36 repackaged with that one module.
Which is why WiiGator's PatchMii does.

And to answer your question, no. cIOS rev4 will work.

rev5 and probably 6 do work with wiihttp with disc dumper option, so they should work with cIOS dumper as well, don't know why you say they don't.
I just used wiihttp with disc dumper with rev5 yesterday, with no problem, as long as I use firefox for the download.
if rev6 is exactly the same as 5 as everyone says, there is no reason it shouldnt work too
and for the record,
naming it rev6 when it was supposedly "Exactly the same"
was very retarded, when waninkoko will most likely have an official rev5 and rev6 and rev7 etc.,
it will only add to confusion.
