If someone releases Android for Wii U, I will immediately softmod my console! Sure, you can get 4K Android boxes on the cheap but Android on Wii U would add so much more to that console.
There's already so many reasons to softmod now, but yeah, android wii u would be great! All i want is linux and to see if Kodi is possible

I also want to softmod for the sake of backups but a good video tutorial and simpler methods would be nice. I'd give things another three to six months before I bite. Back to Android, if someone could figure out getting Android 6.0+ onto the Wii U with a good Arm to PPC emulator for games, I would be very likely to kick my FireTV to the curb.

Right now, hacking for backups is as easy as going to a website, pressing a button, pressing another button and then installing games! If you want a better tutorial, i can give you some help.

I could probably see Android 5+ on Switch but Wii U... That's gonna take more power needed than it even has

Are you available this weekend? P.M. me :)

Power how? The Wii U has ample RAM. Most Android devices are far less powerful than the Wii U.

Its useful and fun.
With all due respect mate...hell no it aint fun. I have that ebola on my tv = not fun
I had it on my phone = as fun as running into a swarm of mosquitoes with your willy exposed
Not even talking about the tablet horrors...

We have linux on wii u already,it's called trinux, all three cores at 100% capable of being used. It can only be lauched through vwii atm only thought but it runs full speed so the only thing it's missing is higher graphical settings since I'm pretty sure its stuck with using the vwii gpu which maxes out at 480p. Android PPC is long dead, so someone would have to revive two projects at once to get android for the wii u. The wii u is not x86 stop missleading people
If you want a completely working full 3 cores at 1.24Ghz linux for the wii u grab it here:

I have an iphone, and every day i regret getting rid of my old android with all of its emulators.
Odd. I still run all the emulators on mine perfectly. Theres even an option to install emulators if you dont have jailbreak ;)
Actually I just finished Golden Sun yesterday :D

The download links on that are both on a bad website, and dead.
Also, native linux could have the gamepad as a keyboard.

yes very dead, who cares what site they are on if you can dl them that's what matters
controling a pc with a gamepad? seems totally sane :grog:
after looking more into it seems it can't utilize all 3 cores at the same time but still sees them and apparently is barely usable too so someone will just have to revive it from the dead, the previous developers have confirmed they abandoned the project so don't expect anything from them

CYANOGENMOD 4.4.4 lol, i think it is possible. iinstalled a 6.0 rom on an old phone with a 1.0 single core cpu,
i know that the architecture of the wii u powerpc ibm is different of that arm thing but the wii u processor is more powerful. can someone tell me is the wii u x86 or x64?
None of the above. Wii U is neither x86 nor x64. It has a 32-bit PowerPC 750CL with a non-standard SMP implementation. (750 wasn't designed for SMP; they had to bolt it on manually.)

There's virtually no other consumer electronics devices that use PowerPC nowadays, which is why no one cares really cares about porting Android to PowerPC.

1. I cant get the download
2. 4shared sucks (lol)
3. I meant use the gamepad screen as KB or KB/M and remove the need for a USB keyboard.
