Hello all,

Pretty interested if this: Flash / HTML5 video player exists for 3DS.

Or does someone have a GitHub source for it? Pleas share it so i can compile and use it..

Thanks for reading!

PS. Didn't know were to post this elsewhere..

The New 3DS already has HTML5 support. It won't be coming to the old 3DS, nor will Flash.
Actually flash has already been ported to o3ds, the 3ds youtube app uses flash and you were able to use it to access other flash content on other sites before they updated it because of tubehax

You still can use a bit of flash on the browser (unless it was Java Script) IIRC. Flash won't come because in 2020 it will be dead.

no the o3ds browser cannot browse any flash content, also the flash dying thing only affects newer versions of flash, not already existing ones like the one used on the 3ds youtube app, you can simply just use the old version of youtube with a version spoof and it should technically allow you to browse any flash content that way

The 3DS YouTube app has rudimentary HTML5 video capability however it only seems to support videos encoded using a very specific MP4 profile which I have not been able to replicate - it is certainly not Flash-based.

Yup it was JavaScript, nvm. And it isn't flash based.

That's strange, I was able to access flash content with it before the browser was patched yet HTML5 content seemed to not work at all

The Youtube app on 3DS pretty much uses HTML5 (but a real bad one) for it to steam, and is based of Mozilla

It's not based on Mozilla at all, in fact it is based on WebKit, like the 3DS browser.
