Hacking Replacing the touch-screen module on a DS Lite

I have a DS Lite that won't calibrate with any accuracy.
I've ordered a replacement touch-screen (without the LCD) from DealExtreme which I plan to fit when it arrives.

Has anybody done this and been successful?
How did you handle the ribbon cable clip?
Were you able to re-use the bezel?
Would I be better off sending it back to Ninty and paying the £32?

I haven't replaced the screen before, but when opening the case, be careful not to snap the power slider.

It's a great guide, but lacking in a bit of detail about removing the touchscreen from the LCD.
If I decide to have a go myself I'll take some pics along the way.

New touch screen was only £3 from dealextreme.
