Replacing the part on the switch that connects the micro sd reader

So the part of the switch's motherboard that reads the micro sd reader is broken on my switch. It can't read any micro sd reader. (ive tried 3 seperate ones) I figured out that there are pins in the part that are physically missing. I found the part online but I can't find anywhere that has it in stock. My plan was to buy a broken switch off of ebay and take the part out of that one and then place it in my current switch. Is this at all possible or am I just screwed and have to buy a new switch?

Another fix I saw here was to just use some fine wires to connect the SD card reader to the motherboard :
