Replacing Gameboy Color Screen cover?

I recently bought a used but complete Gameboy Color Pokemon Limited Edition,the color changing one.It's in really good condition but the screen is kinda scratched up.I see all these replacement screen covers but my question is this,is it possible to just replace the clear cover part so I can leave the Pikachu art intact or is that attached to the clear cover?

It's a single piece of glass with artwork drawn on it - replace the glass, say bye bye to Pika Pika.

Instead of removing the whole glass part, use some anti-scratch lotion. Same one you use for CD's/LCD's when they're scratched.

Thanks for the quick response.I'll give the scratch remover a shot.Sucks that they sell tons of standard replacement covers but none for the Special or Limited Editions
