Suggestions?

I'm about to buy one off of DealExtreme, as I cannot find a single other one anywhere.

Does anyone have experience with RichsPSXParts or know where i can get a new OEM housing?
RichsPSXParts looks like it just carries that same cases DealExtreme does.

Anybody know where I can find PSP2000 parts inside the US?
edit: the ones on amazon seem to be identical to the DealExtreme ones and by default ship from China anyway.
I'm *still* trying to beautify my old 2000 and fix its mushy buttons.

I got one of those cases from that supplier (the transparent one). While the faceplate works fine, the backplate's screw holes were the wrong size and not aligned properly or something because I could only get one of the screws in, so the backplate (the main housing) was unusable... also the buttons and dpad were a little smaller than normal and so rattled around.

As for squishy buttons you'll likely just need the replacement ribber backing, but I don't know where to get that separately.

Ribber backing? On the PSP 1000, the buttons come seperate from the rubber, where as the PSP2000 the buttons are attached to the rubbers. However the dpad is not connected to the rubber? I know this as I bought replacement button backings only to find they were for a 1000, and that my buttons were attached to the backing(rubber).

When you say supplier? Which one? DealExtreme?

Rubber backing yeah, my bad. The backing is held onto the plastic of the buttons and the d-pad with a little friction, if you're swapping out cases they generally expect you to just swap the rubber backing as well (same deal as the conducting pad for analog swaps) since you can just pull it off one set and stick it on another.

And RichsPSPparts is where the set came from, though I don't remember if it was from DX or Amazon that I ordered the housing set (as I got analog replacements as well separately).

This looks pretty dang quality to me:

If you look at the buttons, they seem like the symbols are not simply painted on, like the ones you get from DealExtreme.
Their quality seems to a lot higher. They also seems to have OEM cases available that look to be in pretty good shape.

Deal Extreme:?

OEM? It certainly looks like it, the silver ring on the back has a bit of wear in the pictures.

I've never seen on like this, but it looks good.

Went to buy a case and no paypal/no google checkout, etc. Only western union and wire transfer etc. :/
Any other ideas or other locations to find the above cases?

Deal Extreme has a product request page on their website. If you request some of the items you listed, Deal Extreme may add them to their inventory. Moreover, you could contact the customer service staff at 360supercheap.com and see if you can work something out with them.

EDIT: It says on their front page that they aren't accepting orders through their site since it's under construction. You have to contact them directly @ [email protected] to place an order.
