Removed old thermal paste and added new --> stuck at Switch boot logo

I opened up my Switch using numerous videos and removed the old thermal paste using 96% cleaning alcohol.
After that I re-applied new thermal paste and put it back together. The Switch boots up but is stuck on the Nintendo Switch logo.
Booting with or without SD card doesn't matter.

Anyone got a clue?

Perhaps you got alcohol or thermal paste into component that you shouldn't have.

It looks like my sysnand is corrupted some how.
Booting into ATM with fusee.bin works and loads my emunand.

I think the wifi module is broken. When booted into ATM i cannot see any wireless networks at all.

You may have knocked the tiny wifi connector cable loose when you were replacing the thermal paste. I'd take back apart n check.

You might cause more than wifi module problem if you can't boot into sysnand, as emunand is emulated so it isn't on the sysmmc.

I just took it apart again and re-attached the wifi antenna. But without luck... Still no joy.

Get a new cap and a soldier iron

That's what I thought... Never soldered myself. So probably not the smartest thing to do myself. :-(

Why did you want to change thermal past ? Overheating issues ?

Ok , so you’re probably ending up with some soldering.

All people should know that changing thermal past on a Pc is quite easy, but on modern consoles, (or laptops), can be quite “difficult “.

Well the actual change of paste wasn't that hard. But with removing the metal casing around the cpu I must have hit that cap.

Soldering is probably the way to go from what I read but I'm not capable of soldering (this tiny) so I'm screwed. ;-)

How did you removed the metal case ? Heating ? With what ? Or just “hard way” ?
