I've seen numerous CIAs that say they are region free hacked (and they are, Project Mirai 2 runs great), but how do I do this myself? I would first need to convert from 3DS to CIA, which there are plenty of threads about. I have a 3DS of New Love Plus Plus (JP) and I want to patch it so I can install and play it with Pasta CFW.

These tutorials are based off having a GW and being on FW 4.5, I don't have either of those things. I'm running Pasta CFW on 9.2.

I created two CIA today using your soft, Riku. (v2.0b)
I can't try on another region 3DS but are these CIA supposed to be region free?

No, those are region locked. To create region free CIAs use v3.0, I released it just a few hours ago (RegionFree+MinFW Spoof+Batch file processing added).

Well I don't need it so I'm gonna keep the CIAs I created today using v2.0b but I'll take this new version for the future conversion.
Otherwise, great work, really easy to use.

Hey,

so how to make it region free now if you already have a CIA file? I have sysNand 9.2 and i am using emuNand with the latest update. Can someone explain to me them way you explain it to a dummy please...

Yep, I have the us cia The legend of zelda minish cap on my eur 3ds installed, as far as I know, this game wasnt released in the eur eshop, so the only way to play it for me is to make it region free. Anyone? Ideas?

To make a cia region free manually. Decrypt and unpack the game, go to /exeFS and edit "icon.bin" with an hex editor, go to ofset 0x2018 and replace the firt 4 couple of numbers by "FF FF FF 7F".
