I'm really sorry, but I read through every comment on this thread and I am still confused. How do you use the command prompt? I've followed the eaxmples given here, but it always says, "error, file not found: title_us.moflex" even though the moflex file is in the same folder as the encoder. Any ideas?

Ex. of my command line:
C:\users\MyUserName>desktop\mobiclipdecoder\mobiconverter.exe -d title_us.moflex output.avi

open a command prompt window or a powershell window while you're on the mobiclipdecoder folder:

the cmd line should be like this if you're using the command prompt:
mobiconverter.exe -d "input.moflex" "output.avi"

if you're doing it with powershell add .\ to the beginning like this:
.\mobiconverter.exe -d "input.moflex" "output.avi"

Hmm.. still not working. Where should the input.moflex file be located? I'm still getting the "file not found" error.

Thanks for the help

EDIT: Got it, but now I get an "unrecognized format" error

on the same folder as mobiconverter.exe, are you sure you're opening the command prompt on the mobiclip converter folder?

post the command line exactly as you are typing it.

Tried both of these. (And yes, my input file is actually named input.moflex)

C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\MobiClipDecoder>mobiconverter.exe -d input.moflex output.avi

OR

C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\MobiClipDecoder>mobiconverter.exe -d "input.moflex" "output.avi"

Thanks

Wait, I think I got it. Apparently my Moflex became corrupted and that was causing the issue. I'm trying a different one and it seems to be converting just fine right now. Thanks for your help!

if you opened the cmd window on that folder you don't need to specify the whole address, try pasting this exactly as it is:
mobiconverter.exe -d "input.moflex" "output.avi"

@Gericom The converter isn't opening in my PC. Do i have to download something else? I am trying to translate the NDS game Kingdom Hearts Days and i have to edit the .mods files if i want to dub the game and translate 100%. I need some help. =/

Okay... =/ i really need an encoder to finish my translation project of the game kingdom hearts days
Yeah, I worked on an encoder before. But it just didn't work well. It needed very high bitrates to get a good quality. I'm sadly no expert when it comes to video encoding.

Can someone please explain how to install this, because when I hit build solution I get 3 errors, 21 warnings, and nothing. Am I missing something super obvious, or am I doing something wrong?

Hello, maybe anyone can help me - is it possible now to play/decode/extract audio from wii mobiclip .mo files (MOC5) ? Thanks.
I tried it out with the Kirby Right Back At Ya clips that are on Kirby's Dream Collection. The decoder program that just plays back the files works, but it plays too fast and there's no audio, which already seems to have been noted with using this program on files with the MOC5 header. The converter just says that the MOC5 header is "not supported yet" with the same files, so there's no luck at all there. It doesn't seem like there's any way to extract the audio on its own either.

Any hope to add support for .vx files? I found a page describing the format but no way to play it, as the codec is partially owned by Nintendo.

I present you with Mobiclip Player:
View attachment 27447

A player for moflex and mods files (and maybe other mobiclip containers in the future).

Download: https://mega.nz/#!xtVkhZQR!mnnqxylBksWf3W0RSv-CU1M92ssD2GwJtVs0Xlecuv4
Github: https://github.com/Gericom/MobiclipDecoder

I am currently trying to fix bugs (if there are still bugs) and to understand the codec. If I am able to understand it good enough, I will try to make an encoder.
is there any way to fix the video flickering when converted?
