Wow! Thanks! I 've been waiting for a decent theme manager a long time! (packaging themes to .cia is tedious)

I installed from the QR code and it crashes as soon as I press any button. I'm using an O3DS with Luma 7.0.2. It's nice to see CHMM2 being replaced though!
I have a problem similar to yours and @tiduscrying 's
I currently have 60 themes in my SD card, and the app crashes ("An error has occurred, system will now restart") after a couple seconds.
I can indeed move the cursor a few times, but it seems that the app is trying to load more themes than it can, which seems to be a limitation to the amount of RAM the 3DS have (I remember @Robz8 saying something similar to this as the reason why TWLoader only load the banner of the games as we move the cursor over them, and not on boot).

That said, this is a freaking beautiful Theme Manager. I really hope to see more updates sooner than later! Thank you and congratz on the work, @erman1337

Trying to compile the source, but I'm getting this error:
Building for 3DS...
build/3ds-arm/source/audio.o
In file included from source/audio.cpp:4:0:
source/audio.h:9:32: fatal error: tremor/ivorbisfile.h: No such file or directory
#include <tremor/ivorbisfile.h>
^
compilation terminated.
make: *** [build/3ds-arm/source/audio.o] Error 1
What am I missing? Tried running "make install" for 3ds_portlibs, but didn't fix the issue.

LOVE IT. SOOOOOO much better then that old theme maniger and so much simpler then howling theme tool! Only bug i found is when u install a theme the music will play but the backround imige will be the same as before till you restart your ds. I have a 2ds on ll.4 and luma. Keep it up!

I know that requests may be annoying, specially in the early stages of a new app, but could you add an option to install Themes without their BGM? Often I prefer the silence when browsing through the home screens of the 3DS, but still like the sound effects.
This is not necessary by any means, but would be a nice quality of life addition.

It crashes everytime I open it (i have 47 themes), but it doesn't crash without themes.
Here's the crash dump

EDIT: I have N3DS 11.4 with luma 7.0

Heres a suggestion OP may be hard but it would be amazing if you could add theme implementation from 3dsthem.es.
Download themes directly to your 3ds

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
