Ah, so you want to do an Ao Evo translation, not port Geofront's new Zero no Kiseki translation for Zero no Kiseki Evo?

yeah, for ao no kiseki, I see that evilgoku attempted it but gave up.

as for geofronts translation of zero into evolution, if this doesn't take too long, I will look into doing that too

There should be some tools for falcom games iirc, but EvilGoku made a custom tool for text insertion and I don't think they shared it anywhere, good luck man I hope you can get this all figured out

I don't think evilgoku has posted to pretty much anything for a while, unfortunately :/. Hope it ends up working though, would love to play it on my vita.

Maybe you could try and contact the geofront team directly for assistance on this matter? I remember them willing to work with anyone who would do this project... Just not do it themselves.
 
For Ao no Kiseki there's another issue I see: Flame split certain lines of dialogue because they wouldn't fit into one text box. That's why using Flame's edit instead of Guren's raw translation leads to broken voiced lines when playing the game with the Evo voices mod on PC. Essentially Flame's edit seems not to be a 1:1 representation of the original script structure. I hope you'll find a solution to that because the raw Ao translation is significantly worse than Flame's edit.

Excuse me @EvilGoku , is there a full script where you can read in English the side quests that did reaming in jap on the release? so i can complete it anyway?
 
So i cant seem to get this patch to work for the life of me. i have used prepatched ones versions, patched them my self. i just cant get it to work on the vita. anyone have any idea what simple thing i could be missing? i pretty much used the same base procedure as trails in the sky 1 and 2 list.

I'm trying to update EvilGoku's patch with the translation for the Vita specific side quests. I was able to get to the .bin files in the scena folder. And I'm also able to find the English translated text with HxD. But I'm not able to destinguish the code from the japanese kanji. I tried to us the EDdecompiler. But I can't get it to work.

Can you give me a hint in which direction I have to look.

I asked about the question to an Italian site that do translations (romhacking Italian), and they suggest me to tell you to ask to romhacking . net!

Umm... this may be a bit controversial but since Geofront recently finished their Zero translation it seems only natural to me that they'll do Ao next. It might be best to wait for that and instead try and implement Geofront's fantastic translation into Zero Evo?

For my personal opinion, i will not wait for it, because:

-it's not sure that Geofront or someone else will implement and transfer the script into EVO version
-it's not sure that Geofront will translate Ao too, they do a great jobs but i can't wait their decision to play it

I have nothing against them, but they translate it and they decide what to do, and they said that they has no intention for now to do something about psp/Vita, for me, it doesn't make sense, but as i said they decide.

So once i finished The3rd EVO, i will start this EVO translation version.
 
I'm currently playing Azure for the first time and tbh I don't think we really need a Geofront translation for this one.

The game could certainly use one more editing pass as there are a couple grammatical errors, weird nick names and laughs that could be better localized and etc. It would benefit more from enhancements like we saw for Zero.

I agree on that. Zero Evo would be the definitive version (as are the fan patched Sky Evo games currently) if someone patched the Geofront translation into it. The translation is just fantastic.
