Trying that tethering stuff, BRB

Edit: Ok, it doesn't give me the network error but now it froze :( and then socketpuch reach 100% and didn't complete the transfer
Okay, that's the time when it's Socket Punch's fault, and not FBI's. Still, that's caused because of a timeout connection. I'm working on fixing that.

In short, it's just that your PC lost connection for a brief time, and SocketPunch still has problems when trying to reconnect after that brief disconnected time. I'm trying to fix that for the next update.

This "disconnection" times happen sometimes, even when you're on a good network. But they do happen a lot more when you have several connected devices to the same router and/or interference in the wireless signal.

I had this problem when i was using a different version of FBI. Are you using the one suggested on the OP?

Yep, i'm using it so idk what the heck is happening, i have a sandisk 4gb micro SD with a Kingston Adapter, i'm 4 meters away from my router, i was transfering the CIA file at 4:30 a.m so nobody else was awake, i think the problem could be my O3ds? maybe?

I have found that the transfer crash when it reach 60% or 65%... Idk what does that mean
It's a problem with the network, that currently SocketPunch isn't able to overcome.

I've transferred 2.4 GB files successfully several times, while 2.5 GB+ files ALWAYS crash.

As I said, it's just that there happen to be moments when the connectivity either between the PC and the router, or the 3DS and the router is lost, and SocketPunch fails to continue after getting back the connection. That problem would happen more on some router models than in others, but it can happen to everyone.

I'm already addressing the issue, and I hope to have it fixed for the next release, whenever I release it.

Yes, it could work. While I speak Spanish, and could answer in that language, I prefer to write in English since that's the forums' rules.

And sorry for the incovenience, I'm working on the issue everyday.

It would seem that SocketPunch GUI Mod will always bring up a very specific error, for specific cia games. This error, will pretty much cause my SD card to unmount, and if I try to press home to exit FBI, I get an error screen and have to shut down (Since A9LH depends on the SD)
Retrying it 2-3 more times results in the same thing, for THAT specific cia. While it works for others cias, it will never work for certain ones for some reason.

I came to this conclusion today when I tried installing a 60 MB cia, which was Zelda Twilight Princess Picross. Tried it three times, and it caused FBI to get the same error where it says unknown for description. To the point where I can't install/delete anything since my SD card is unmounted at this point.

So I install it manually the old fashioned way and it works.

I've had this issue while installing a marathon of cia's, and only 2-3 cia's would do this out of about 20.
I have no idea why it does this, it made me want to blame my SD before, but my SD card is perfectly fine.

This is still a reliable app, but it isn't perfect for every single cia. It'll still be a good weapon in my arsenal though.

Thanks for your update. Still, I haven't been able to recreate your issue. What are the CIAS you get that problem with?

I installed Zelda Picross today too, and It installed just fine.

Sorry, I'd really like to know what is going on.

Did you quote me by mistake? Or because I was the one who dumped Zelda Picross? haha

Does anyone know how to start a jar program in the command line on ubuntu?

Edit: java 7 does not want to open socket punch, so I want to force java 7 to start the program.
