That's a strange name for that.

Edit:
It's also a shame that SaltySD crashes Classic.
I think the build from the main page is a bit outdated. My internet wouldn't allow me to upload the file at the time. It should be up in a minute or two.
Edit: it should now be updated.

Turns out I misinformed you; 96mb memory mode isn't the correct mode. The build attached will not work for anyone using an old 3DS.

Instead, 80mb is the same layout Smash uses on old 3DS. 96mb memory mode shuts down the home menu completely and probably wasn't meant for retail/homebrew apps. Sorry about that.

I've tried using the Smash-Selector from the OP, but I seem to crash just like a user stated before. Luma error dump is included (if needed)
O3DS using Luma v6.5

Well, I give up on starting smash selector in high memory mode. Here the most recent build where I fixed corbenik/skeith. It might take me a bit of time until I have the new version of smash selector ready.
Hey Cydget! Ends up for me that this build uploaded and the one previous that you linked is still resulting in my system rebooting while trying to boot SaltySD. I've been trying to load a melee mod just for consistency and when I try to boot into it, I get the error "An error has occurred forcing the software to close. The system will now restart. (Unsaved data may be lost.)". Do you know what may be going on with it or if there's anything I may be able to test out to try to figure out more about what's going on? Thanks for checking this out, dude, I appreciate it! :)

Ya, there is something wrong with that build, and the one before it, and I dont have an unmodified source for the version before that, so id either have to debug that or just build it anew which I'm currently in the process of. The main problem I have right now is that I need to apply for college, and that's taking up a bunch of my time. Ill try working on it when I can, but this month is pretty much already taken up with college things. In the meantime, just keep looking through the pages at the end to find a version that works.

People on a couple discords have been having issues with the cia in the FP. Could you possibly roll that download link back a few builds (using previous links)? I have been giving them the link to the old corbenik build for simplicity, but I don't remember if there were any major changes since then (besides the updated corbenik paths). They haven't had issues as far as I know.

Well, does anybody want test the current rebuild of smash-selector. It currently lacks all features that require internet(I haven't had time to figure out where the bug is in the download function), and I actually think I might scrap the qr reader idea and just have an enter url using keypad instead, once I get to that point. This version should include the ability to use any cfw you want along with any cfw that supports code splitting.(assuming that they use the game id thing as the name of the file) This version should also allow you to choose where you want your mods folders to be saved. Default is /saltysdMODS/ instead of each folder being called smashX they are now called Slot_X. You can edit most paths via the settings file in /3ds/data/smash_selector/settings.txt. I changed the hash function to be Murmur2 instead of sha1, because sha1 took too long for it to load. There are currently bugs that I'm working on including(all download features, generating a hash too many times causes it to crash,Display of generating hash(going to fix that when I'm able to compare online hash)). This may feel like an incomplete build, because it is. I just want something that people can use in the meantime while I work on finishing this. I also need to know of any other problems that I didn't just mention. Due to downloading not working currently, you will need to place the code.bin of your region into the MainCodeFolder. I did not test editing the settings file on windows, only viewing it, so there may be problems after saving. If that's the case, just delete the file and try editing it with a different program besides notepad. If you have any questions just ask, I know I didn't explain things well here.
Link to saltysd codes 1.1.6 all regions.
Any feedback is welcome as long as it is justified.

@Billy Acuña Are you still up for making a GUI?

I can't test it right now, but I will once I'm home. Just a suggestion, but maybe do something like luma does for payloads (Decrypt9_start.bin) but for the mod folders (USMeM_1 Turbod_2 ect.) so we don't need to open the folder and then the text file to see what the mod is, but a detailed description would still be in the desc.txt for smash-selector to display

Yes, of course :)

Trying this (both the build linked in the OP and the `NEW'Smash-Selector) leads to a blackscreen after the Nintendo 3DS boot thing on an O3DSXL and a 2DS.
The current version I have installed on my N3DSXL works fine.

Also, the `NEW'Smash-Selector works great on my N3DS, only Launching Smash with USA and CIA selected (my default settings), sends me to the home menu.

Last edited by Yudowat,
I can't get this CIA to boot on my o3DSXL and I've tried every build in this thread going back to the beginning of October. :(

I have experienced something weird... My n3DS ran out of battery power when I was downloading SaltySD... Now, whenever I boot, I'm stuck on a black screen... Payloads do work, but the last backup I made was from before my update to 11.2 and I'd really fancy keeping my game saves... Any ideas on how to fix it?

what do you mean while downloading saltySD? like from smash-selector? Try going to SD:/Luma/ and becking up the code sections folder, then delete it from the SD

I did what this guide (https://github.com/KotuMF/Smash-3DS-Modding-Guide/wiki) said to do for smash-selector, installed SaltySD and tried to boot saltysd smash, but this shows up:
WIN_20161205_19_48_07_Pro.jpg

Im also trying to boot up Neos 0.7 on a 1.1.6 Smash cart.
